In 2012 as an 8 seed they beat 9 UConn 77-64 and then lost to 1 seeded Kentucky 87-71.
In 2013 #10 Iowa State beat #7 Notre Dame 76-58. They then lost to #2 Ohio State 78-75 in a 3 pointer by Aaron Kraft with a half second left.
In 2014 #3 Iowa State beat #14 North Carolina Central 93-75 and then beat #6 North Carolina 85-83. They then lost to the eventual champs, #7 UConn 81-76. I saw the UConn game and I thought ISU had some really tough breaks and UConn was lights out especially with Napier.

Man, did I overdo myself with Iowa State. But, I love how they play and was really impressed by last year's game against UConn. I also do not like picking Duke and I am at the point with #2 seed Gonzaga that I need to wait until they show me. They have yet to crack the Final 4, I think.
All the stars seemed to align for me to give tons of love to Iowa State so now I watch any game without any partiality from my brackets.
Lots of great finishes so far....too bad the other 38 minutes were not examples of well played BB.

I did not fill out a bracket this year. I don't usually do well. I am watching Davidson play Iowa now. Davidson is 15 minutes away from where my daughter lives. Davidson is doing well so far. I am also looking forward to watching Wisconsin play tonight as well.

I have Michigan State in the Final Four. The way they played Wisconsin (and the easy draw they got) makes it look like a real possibility now.

They seem to turn it up a notch come tourney time and they have a complete team. Trice is a legit scoring threat at guard, their bigs can handle the ball and rebound, and defensively they are physical and can get after it.
They don't have the talent of a Duke or UW or Kentucky or AZ but I would be surprised if they don't make it to the Final Four at this point.

The right side of my bracket, particularly the EAST is screwed. But I have Wichita State as a sweet 16 team. 
The Big 12 was really overrated. Kansas goes out to little brothers in state, Wichita St.
