Davidson makes a great play to get the Badgers a 56-54 victory over Maryland. With 13 seconds to go Maryland attempts to inbound the ball. Davidson knocks it away from a Maryland player and then hits the Maryland inbounder with the ball who is still standing out of bounds. Badger ball. After a timeout Brad goes from the top of the key to the corner, gets a double pick and hits a three to put the Badgers up by 2. Defense holds and the Badgers get the victory. They are now tied for 2nd in the Big Ten at 4-2. Next up, at Michigan State who are 5-1.

Saw it live....crazy smart and clutch.
Thank goodness BuzzCut saved the day as for some reason Gard decided not to have his best player on the court in crunch time.
He needs to figure out a rotation with both Potter and Reuvers on the floor at the same time.
Considering the set they ran right before that whole sequence was horrible (Davidson 3 point prayer at the end of the shot clock that didn't hit rim), I thought the game was lost. Brad's play on the inbound and clutch 3 were pretty amazing.

Especially on the last offensive possession. Even Dakich and the play-by-play guy were commenting how dumb it was that Potter wasn't in.
Potter must have said something unacceptable to Gard, or an assistant coach, to get benched like that. Whatever, Gard was willing to take a chance on losing the game to make a point to Potter. Thanks to Davison for the outstanding inbound play and then for the dagger three. Third straight win against a ranked opponent! GO BUCKY!!!
Hustle and sports smarts can not be overrated.
34 has both in spades.
It worked for Gard last night but IMO Potter needs to be on the floor as much as possible.
I did see Potter appear to be βfussinβ at an assistant coach coming of the final time out....hey, canβt fault a competitive guy for wanting a chance to win a game.
Saw some good comments by Badger beat writers on Twitter on why Potter wasn't in at the end. Mainly him getting beat on defense and having two bigs would not have been a good idea with Maryland's pick and roll game.
Potter needs to play better defense. Watch where the opposition goes when he is on the floor. That being said, I don't get why you don't have him on the floor for that late possession (where Davidson threw that shitty prayer towards the backboard).
That the ball went off the Maryland player was pure luck. It was a hustle play that got him to that spot and it happened to occur.
The shot.....that way UW had been shooting the ball??
Shit man, that ball had as much chance of being an air ball as being nothing but net. And net it was.
The guy who kills me is Trice. I can tell every single time when he is going to miss. He doesn't go straight up. When he goes straight up he's money. When he drifts left, right, front or back he cannot hit a damn thing. And he drifts almost every time the last several games.
