PHILADELPHIA -- As a member of the Green Bay Packers, Eagles linebacker Brad Jones knows a thing or two about winning culture.

Jones' first NFL season came in 2009, and the very next year the Packers hoisted the Lombardi Trophy after beating the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Super Bowl.

But, the seven-year veteran says that the atmosphere is actually better under Chip Kelly and the Eagles.

"It's football," Jones said Tuesday following the team's practice at Lincoln Financial Field. "Honestly, the team cohesion is better. Honestly. It's the same, if not better.

"Guys like each other. Everybody's focused on one goal.

That's really the goal and key of every championship team. ... The closeness and cohesion of every team, if everyone can get together and say 'Let's win a championship,' that overtakes any skill. It overtakes anything."

Eagles more cohesive than Green Bay

So what Brad is saying is see...

In Philly they don't pay no attention to his skill. Yes Brad. that's right. As evidence as to why they signed you.

Word. Let's see how hunky dory things go when he whiffs horribly on a RB, over runs a route as a player zooms past him while he's 5 yards up the field with no hope of catching him, then creates a boneheaded holding or roughing the passer penalty to kill a defensive stance.

All in one series.

Ha ha, we'll just see how the yellow bills, (Eagles) do this year.  Ugh...... and the loser Jones gets hurt.  No, sorry don't wish that on any player.....just hope he loses his spot on the team to a younger player.

Lets revisit this thread in late December/early January when the Eagles are planning their offseason and the Packers are getting ready for a bye in the playoffs.

I do not get or understand the fascination with the Eagles. If by winning culture they mean getting sort of close and choking then ok have fun with that.

The Packers didn't want him; the Eagles did.

From his perspective, that's a big improvement.

There doesn't seem to be much running back talent in that division and the best one is on his team. Crappy O-line in NY; Clusterfap in warshington; Old TE in Dallas that he MIGHT be able to keep up with. They play the NFC south, which could hardly get worse but doesn't look much better than last year. AFC east is loaded defensively but outside of NE there are big offensive question marks.

He could show better than he did with the Packers.

Brad Jones was a fragile paper mâché shell halfway through 2014. Any time spent on the field last year was fraught with a never ending "don't **** something up, don't **** something up, don't **** something up" audio loop in his own head.

Change of scenery is going to buy him a little time. In time that audio loop is coming back though. You can change things like jerseys and zip codes. You can't change suck.

The Lombardi Curse is still killing them - they were the only squad to beat the Lombardi Packers in a Title game and they did it by somewhat nefarious means: sitting on Taylor to kill the clock. The football world was deprived of another epic last- second play from Bart, and the eagles are paying the ultimate price for it.

Hilarious article.  Two of my faves:

16. Detroit Lions

The face of Detroit’s franchise went to Miami in the offseason, but Lions fans can take solace in the fact that they are not Vikings’ fans. –

23. Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins landed 2015’s signature free agent, Ndamukong Suh, who has the potential to singlehandedly will Miami into its first playoff appearance since 2008. And if he doesn’t, Dolphins fans can like the chances of him stomping on Tom Brady.

Andy a great follow up on chilli's dangerous catch story:

28. SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

When long-shore fisherman are instantly questioning your Super Bowl play calls despite hearing about the game third-hand, you know it’s going to be a depressing offseason. The only reason the Seahawks aren’t higher on this list is because there’s every reason to believe they’ll earn their way into another situation this February where the second-highest paid quarterback in football throws a crippling goal-line interception with under one minute to go in the Super Bowl. – CC
