Time to make some moves.  1.)  DFA Cain. He's done. 2.)  Put Mark Mathias or Jonathan Davis on the 40 man roster and bring one of them up. Both are hitting over .300 in Nashville.  3.) Hitting coach.  I know we keep bringing somebody new in  almost every year but all the guys are hitting way below their historical averages.  Time for a change.

I was skeptical when Yelich was moved to leadoff.  Seems to be having a positive effect so far.

I think just the change in his approach batting leadoff (even if it's subconsciously) will be a positive.

When he signed the extension, it was to be a guy that with an OPS of 900 or better and to be a 30 HR/100 RBI type of guy for the foreseeable future. That guy is probably not coming back, but it isn't helpful to have him hitting third when he just isn't that type of guy anymore.

If he can hit leadoff and have an OBP of 400 and steal some bases, that has value Not 26 million a year in value, but it can still help you win.

I'd rather have the OBP of 400 with 12 HR/60 RBI type numbers, than have him hit third with an OBP of 300 by trying to hit 30 HRs for the year.
