I'm in a low effort fantasy league. Weekly lineups/ one pick up per week max. We drafted before the Japan games and I picked Corey Knebel as my closer. OOPS. I'm running a 0 at that spot through next Sunday.

Is Josh Hader gonna be THE guy? I go on line and find every opinion possible. I figure people who've seen the games and how Counsell thinks are the best source.

Not so much ours. 5 starters, 1 closer each week. 1 pt/K; 15/win; 8/save; 5/relief win. bonuses for complete game SO and no hitters. That's all the scoring for pitching.

If Hader's not closing he's only good for Ks and an occasional relief win.

I see he's got 4 saves so far. It looks like a commitment so I'm gonna pick him up.

Unless someone else' closer gets hurt. As it's the first week, pickup choices are assigned by last years final standings. I won, so I get last choice.

Josh Hader is useful in any fantasy format.

Starting with the 1 game playoff last year, Hader has made 12 appearances. In those 12 appearances, he has these stats

12 games, 17 Innings, 29 strikeouts, 3 walks, 6 hits.

It can't continue at this level, but right now he's a cheat code in a video game.
