Can they opt out of the rest of the season and see if they can make up 2 games that way?
Reds beat the Cards 3-2. Padres losing 2-0 bottom of 6th.
The most realistic route into the playoffs for the Brewers is to catch San Diego for the last wild card spot.
The Cardinals are 7.5 games up with 19 left. That's pretty much a done deal.
The Phillies are 4 up with 19 left. That's not out of being possible, but still unlikely.
The Padres are only 1.5 up with 19 to play. Ironically, it may come down to whether Hader has gotten himself straightened out. It looks like he may have done that recently. His last 5 outings (since August 31st) he's gone 5 innings and given up 1 run, 2 hits, and 1 walk to go along with 6 strikeouts.
We could be Padre fans

Phillies at the Braves for the weekend. Padrs continue with the Diamondbacks. Cards still hosting the Reds. The Brewers are home to the Yankees. Tonihgt is Houser ( 6-9) vs Montas (5-12). ESPN matchup gives N Y a 59.3% chance of winning. Prove them rong CREW!!!!

Now, thatâs hard to believe!
Donât get to see the Brewers often, WTF is this beer league softball uni they are sporting? Why?
Yanks get 3 in the 1st on a bunch of base hits. Brewers load the bases with 2 out and get...................you guessed it, nothing.
Willie Adames with you guessed it, a 3 run HOMER. Yanks lead 5-3, Brewers getting ready to bat in the 3rd.
