I know I’m old school and it’s very early in the season but it sure is nice to see a lineup where the top batting average isn’t in the .240’s.
Good news, Padres had a rain delayed late game with the Dodgers last night, add in the time change, Padres should be pretty well hung-over tonight.
And 1 - 0 Crew. Chourio singled, stole 2nd, Contreras walked. Adames singles in Chourio. Brewers load the bases but Turang hits into a double play.
Yep, they blew a golden opportunity there in the bottom of the first with bases loaded and one out. Dang, should have capitalized on that.
Chourio with a 2 out 2 run homer on a 1-2 count. 3 - 0 Crew!!!! 
Bottom of the 3rd, no outs guys on first an second, lets get some more runs guys.
Left more guys in scoring position to end the 3rd. Cmon, we gotta capitalize on these opportunities.

Murphy left Ross in for 3 batters too many. He should have seen he was beginning to tire in the 4th.
The Crew blew too many chances by leaving so many base runners stranded in the first couple innings. They could have blown this game wide open for them. Yes, Ross faded fast in the 5th, Contreras did not help matters with the missed catch. Then it all unraveled.

The whole vibe of the team changes when he's healthy.
Murphy said yesterday that Yelich's back has not improved since he left a game last week.
The concerns about back issues for Yelich date back to when he was a minor leaguer in the Marlins organization. One of the reasons the Marlins traded him so early in his career (even before he was eligible for free agency) were concerns about this. They looked foolish in 2018-19, not so much sense (even though the prospects they got for Yelich turned out). None of the 4 guys (Brinson, Diaz, Yamamoto, and Harrison) are in the major leagues this year and have a combined WAR as major leaguers of -6.8 (that's a negative 6.8).
It's clearly going to prevent (and already has prevented) a Hall of Fame career from happening and the Brewers are on the hook at 26 million a year until after the 2028 season.

Quite a pitchers dual. Still 0 - 0 top of 8th. Pads with 4 hits, Brewers with 1 and that was by Adames in the 7th.
A 1 out single by Turang, a stolen base and a single by Perkins gives the Brewers a 1 - 0 lead. Payamps coming in for 9th.
