Let the shortened season begin 
The master plan right now is launching a three-week spring training on July 1 and beginning the regular season on Friday, July 24. MLB insists the regular season must end on Sept. 27, which leaves 66 days to play 60 regular season games. There is a little bit of wiggle room there, but that's the best-case scenario. Opening Day one month from Wednesday.

The NBA is the only sport that seems to have a good handle on how to work through their season and playoffs.
1) bubble location - no travel
2) relatively small rosters
3) players can opt out if they want
I think having teams travel to different locations is a recipe for disaster. Plus, there are so many players and coaches and staff members on a typical MLB club.
Exactly why college and pro football could be disastrous. They are way larger than baseball operations.
That’s exactly why I don’t see any football this fall period.

The problem for the NBA is that they play indoors (obviously). To really make it work optimally, they would also have to get the Disney employees to also not leave the bubble. There is very little chance they'll get very far into this without one of the hotel roomkeepers or other staff testing positive (with the trajectory that Florida is on).
Baseball would have the best chance of getting a partial season if they took a bubble approach like the NBA. Played outdoors with minimal contact between players. Also, a lot less injuries relative to football (are all the team physicians going to be in the bubble)?
They could finally get rid of the umps, 4 less guys near anyone. Much less their families and interactions with people going to and from the games...hotel staff, Uber drivers, airline and airport personel, food service folks, etc.

Uek is 86 years old and had a heart valve replaced in 2010 (meaning it's highly likely he's on some immunosuppresants). If you have to describe someone who would be at the highest risk of dying from COVID19 it would be him.
I'll love listening to him, but I hope they have him call the games from a hermetically sealed room at the stadium and anyone who transports him to and from the games needs to be wearing a mask and have a sealed and sanitized passenger compartment.
I’m walking the pup nearby...will MLB follow these same stringent precautions? Both teams from out of state...thanks for coming and spreading your cheer...among other things...

Friend of mine was telling me about his son's baseball camp this year. No baseballs allowed. That should be a good camp.

Players will start reporting back to training camp tomorrow, July 1. It remains to be seen which players will report back to work — high-risk individuals are allowed to opt out and still receive salary and service time, but others who sit out get neither money nor the service credit needed for eligibility for free agency and salary arbitration.

According to a sports reporter at our ABC affiliate, WISN, the impacted players are Angel Perdomo and Luis Urias
