Not sure where KaBong has been, but will carry the torch for him. Brewers need to carry a similar weight this season.

Is Hader the new closer? Fits the part. Looks like they have other/same dudes to play roles next year. Should they still make a push for Kimbrel?
Yes and yes.
Jeffress is the first question on whether the Crew needs to break the bank on Kimbrel. If he is near and looking healthy not so anxious.
Is the 2017 Fat Albers here or is it the 2018 Fat Drunk and Stupid Albers out there?
Wilson looked accomplished. 2019 Stearns version of pot of gold?
Kimbrell wants more than $18M per... Brewers aren’t going to be able to pay that and then still have room for deadline deals.

I hope Couns sticks to using him when he is most needed. If he ends up with more holds than saves, I am fine with that.
Losing Knebel for the season is a big deal. If Jeffress doesn’t come back strong or is ineffective they absolutely should be taking a look at Kimbrell.
We have to believe the young starters will take their lumps from time to time as they develop (see Peralta) so having a strong bullpen seems to make a lot of sense to me.
The good news is offensively they should be improved although not sure why Thames is getting so many at bats. Hope he can start getting some hits.
And still on a 162 pace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Way to go Yelich!!!!!
Thru 2 innings Corbin Burnes has given up 2 hits, but also has 6 Ks.

Yelich is gonna get the Barry Bonds treatment this year.
MVP Baby !!!
Brewers Win !!!
What a opening series !!!
Wow, what a finish. They should have walked the bases full!
How about those wheels on Cain?
Wow... how about that guy???
Woot woot!
Gamel clutch poking that double with 2 strikes.
Un.
Fukk.
In.
Real.
Bonus points for sending the cards home sad.
I also want to add, I love fat pitchers and I want Albers to rock it this year. Every time he takes the mound should be a gift to baseball fans everywhere.
Albers looks renewed.
This team is so much fun. And Yelich is on another planet.
Beating the Cards three out of four, and reading their crying on other boards, makes my day.

OK, you chubby chaser.
Not sure I can recall a Brewer in my lifetime having the type of one year run that Yelich is having. MVP isn’t fitting enough of a description. The guy is so ****ing good.
Amazing that Yelich and Giannis play in the same town. And Rodgers up the road. JFC we are blessed and spoiled or maybe both.
The last pitch that Yelich hit from Hicks was 102 m.p.h.

Oh, and he hit for the cycle in that span.

Since Statcast started tracking in 2015, no one has hit a ball that hard (110.6+ mph) off a pitch that fast (101.8+ mph) https://t.co/kaUxdjdqA6

Not that I would feel any differently had they walked off another team - that was fun. 102 mph sinker, no problem.
Oh who I am kidding **** the Cards enjoy the bus ride or plane ride home Redbirds!

You must have been a big Micky Lolich fan.

Statcast had never seen a starting pitcher spin a fastball like Corbin Burnes’.

Yelich is so good I'm starting to hope the fish don't bite this summer.
