"Milwaukee finished 3 for 8 with runners in scoring position. Adding to the frustration was not being able to make more out of the Reds’ five errors and eight walks issued."

Freddy not doing very good lately, again the bats let us down. Oh well get them back tomorrow.

Beginning to not like Murphy using Bauers so much.  Why didn't he pinch run for him on Friday night??  A faster runner would have scored instead of getting thrown out at the plate for about the 5th or 6th time this season.

Bauers is also 1 for 12, an .083 average against Montas in his career.  But the Brewers have a 60.6% chance of winning according to ESPN.

Spent the afternoon at daughters for fathers day. Was pleasantly surprised when I got home to see the Crew won this one. Sounds like it was kind of a tense game until the end. Regardless, the Crew prevailed. Keep winning series and we will be looking good come the fall. Off to face the not so good Angels tomorrow.

Also, sounds like Contreras may have strained his neck on that throw home to end it? The replay I saw did not look good. Currently listed as day to day. Hope he's OK

So long as there are no long term issues with this, it may be a blessing in disguise. Conventional wisdom is that you never want to have your starting catcher out of the game for more than a day or two, but I think Contreras would really benefit from a short rest. He’s really struggled at the plate lately.

Not including today’s game, since May 17th, he’s hitting .216/.250/.333/.583 over the last 26 games and 111 AB.

He’s now played in 70 of Milwaukee’s 71 games., Murphy really needs to give him a day off on occasion. Asking a catcher to play 155+ games is a bit excessive.
