Bryan Bulaga moving to LT?...MM says...

To be fair to Newhouse, a full offseason and more time grow and he will be a solid tackle.

If he Packers need to move Bulaga ti LT thier is plenty of time to do it. He Played LT in college and some for the Pack.

Newhouse wasn't very good at LT last year, and yet the Pack had the 2nd greatest offensive season in NFL history.

I've got to believe that with a full off season and some experience, Newhouse can step it up a bit and be a little less shaky. With Rodgers quick release he doesn't need to be great, he just needs to be a little better than he was.

Sherrod is going to be a player too once he recovers.

Even without Clifton, we should be fine @ OT.

Bulaga looks like he will be a mainstay at RT. Hope to see both he and Sitton on that right side for many years.

Sure hope Newhouse can step up, his feet looked really slow at times last year where he got whipped by speed and quickness. Sounds like he's getting a shot to prove himself the starter.

Can't wait to see Sherrod come back and play. Hope he heals fully and can get that big body up to speed with some coaching. He has perfect size and wingspan for a LT.

Bulaga has become one of the finest RT's in the league. To move him right now would be a mistake.

As much as I respect Newhouse for holding it down decently well last year, I'd like to see Sherrod step up and takeover since he's the 1st rounder. It will be an interesting competition in camp, especially with Andrew Datko in the mix.

You know, once Sherrod came into play at tackle last year before the injury, he wasn't awful. Not a world beater by any stretch, but certainly not the failure like he was at guard.

I don't know if Datko will be ready to compete for a starting job since he'll be coming off of the surgery. Long term, he should be great depth if he remains healthy. I think because of health concerns, Newhouse begins the year as default LT starter.

Bulaga's lack of arm length doesn't suit him for LT. His strength is in his compact style frame, whereas a LT needs that reach to beat guys to the punch on Rodgers blind side. I think MM will only move him in a pinch, as he's proven his versatility and willingness to help as needed.

I hope that's right. I remember reading some really shakey things about him in TC and I know some of that had to do with moving him all over the line. I didn't get to see him at LT before the injury but if he wasn't "awful", it shows progress and that's a good thing.

Not sure what draft position has to do with it. If Newhouse is the better player he needs to be on the field regardless.
