Fum is pretty good with Hornibrook. Can you imagine him with a QB like Rodgers?

Hundley probably has great practices during the week because he isnt afraid of getting hit. Put him in a game and he cant throw a WR open to save his life, does not see WRs that are open after a couple of seconds because he is scared to get hit. MM should open the practice up to the defense and tell them to beat the crap out of Hundley when they have a chance until he gets it. And they should practice 3rd and long again and again until he shows he can convert.
It seems to me that once his first read is covered, he goes into panic mode and begins to move out of pocket before he even considers another option.

They should also have the defense practice 3rd and long again and again until they show they can stop it.

The WR also has to be wide open for quite a while for him to pull the trigger. From what I can tell as a novice watching and what the experts say, he has no feel for throwing a guy open or anticipating when someone is going to be open. He can drop back and throw to a guy open in the middle of a zone when the receiver just runs and sits down in an open spot.

I actually thought that too. Him going against Doms defense for 3rd and long would not accomplish anything. Any QB can do that with no problem.

Best example of this was a throw to Adams late in the game. Adams had the DB burnt coming out of his break and was open for a 15-20 yard gain. Believe it was on a second/third and long. Instead he waited to long and sailed the ball 10-12 yards over his head, out of bounds.

I remember that throw. Flashback to Horni throws the night before....

A trait he shares with Tim Tebow. I think a lot of the intangibles of the position you either have or don't and I haven't seen them from Hundley.
Yet he showed those traits in spots in other games. The inconsistency is maddening but not unusual for a backup QB with little game experience. I don't know if he is capable of raising his bar but he has shown ability.
I think what we see with Hundley is the exact opposite of what we see with Rodgers. Some QBs, the ones who rarely make it in this league, can't seem to take their eyes off the pass-rush. They play scared. Where as the great ones like Rodgers "feel" the pass rush but keep their focus down field. Some of that comes with experience but some of it comes naturally or as a byproduct of not being a pussy . ð
Hundley has more than enough talent to be mediocre.
AS someone has already pointed out, IF they make a determination that AR can come back vs. NC, using read-option A LOT makes sense vs. Browns
Using read option where Hundley's only option is to keep the ball.
His stats in PA are better than average, so that run game has helped him a lot. His accuracy outside the pocket is above average when he gets the ball out quick.
Any time he has to read and react he is struggling.
With the improved run game, Jones and Williams, Rodgers must be salivating.
