I think the Heat are going to make people tune out early today. They are just killing the Bucks right now, 17-8 with wide-open 3 after wide-open 3.
With Middleton and Giannis out, the Bucks strategy appears to be have Connaughton play like he's Steph Curry. He's taken 15 threes in the about 35 minutes of playing time. He's made 3. He's not a bad 3 point shooter, but having a guy shooting 36% from there in his career laughing one every chance he gets is not a sustainable offensive strategy.
Kinda fun for me, I donβt usually get to see the π¦βs so fun to watch them. Hate the purple tho, and miss Giannis. βΉοΈ

Watching the Bucks without Giannis and Middleton is not really watching the Bucks.
Mamu and Green playing in the second quarter tells you the likelihood of the Bucks winning in this game.
The NBA schedule makers probably ensured we'll get at least one more Giannis knee soreness game again soon. The Bucks play back-to-back games on Monday and Tuesday. And then don't play again until a week from today.
Looks like the Bucks are going with the b squad the rest of the way.
Just a painful game to watch. Almost no offense at all for the Bucks. One pace for about 75 points in the game.

I agree. They should just have had Holiday and Lopez develop knee or back soreness yesterday and dropped any pretense of being competitive.
I'm sure Giannis' knee is sore, but obviously if this was the playoffs he'd be playing.
Why not rest some of the other key guys too? The Bucks would be cooked if something happened to Holiday as well. Why waste him in a game like this?
Just waiting for Thanasis and Nwora to make appearances.
Do you think Giannis' "knee soreness" is somehow tied to the knee injury he suffered against the Hawks in the playoffs 2 years ago?

I don't know what's better - watching Thanasis, Nwora, Mamu, Green, and Carter
OR
watching the all-Causasian lineups with Mamu, Green, Ingles, Connaughton, and Allen.
Bucks get it back to a 3 point game. The Heat, missing Herro, have almost as much trouble scoring as the Bucks.
Down 6.
Frustrating that if Giannis plays these last two games, even at 75%, the Bucks are likely 2-0 instead of 0-2.
Bucks kept in interesting for a while but now back to 10.
Now down 16 after Holiday has two bad turnovers after coming back in the 4th.
Just get anyone important out. I don't like it, but I don't mind sitting guys for long-term thinking. But then why put Holiday out there in a situation where you have no chance and aren't really trying to win anyway?
Again, the schedule makers didnβt do the Bucks many favors. Itβs been brutal the last 2-3 weeks. The good news is they got out to the 9-0 start, and they just need to hover around .500 until Middleton gets back.
If Middleton returns and is healthy for the playoffs, the Bucks are in the top 3-4 teams most likely to win the title this year.
If Middleton isn't healthy, the Bucks have zero chance. They may not even get out of the first round of the playoffs. If they do, it will probably require Giannis averaging 40/15/8 in a series.
The Bucks are way too limited offensively without Middleton.
The problem we have as fans is that we have no idea whether Middleton is really ramping up to come back. The way the Bucks handle injury information we don't know whether he has mild knee tendinitis or has a career ending knee injury.
