Considering how they battled it was a good effort but Dallas is rolling.  I think they’ve won like 7 of 8 or something like that.

The part that’s frustrating is without Giannis you can’t overwork Middleton and Holiday and clearly they seemed tired with the BTB.  The bench was actually playing pretty decent as well so I don’t get it.

Bud seems to have a dozen or so of these games during the season where it’s like WTF is Bud doing?  Ride the hot hand and last night it was the bench but hey that’s too logical.

3-3 on a WC road trip basically without Giannis isn’t horrible but they should have been 4-2 and might have been able to go 5-1.  You have to keep pace with Brooklyn and Philly.

Giannis sitting out these games could have no bearing on what happens in the playoffs, but it also almost now guarantees getting into a 3-6 matchup. I've voiced frustration on the chats about this, but at some point do you just settle for the third seed and load manage guys like Middleton and Holiday?

The biggest positive development of the trip is how Jeff Teague has looked. I'm baffled by the fact that he's on record as saying that he wanted to sign with the Bucks in the off-season but ended up signing a 1 year/2.5 million dollar deal with Boston. This suggests that the Bucks chose Augustin over him and gave Augustin about 7 times more guaranteed money. Neither is a great defender, but Teague is 4 inches taller than Augustin and isn't as much of a liability on that end. Teague is bigger, younger, about the same as a 3 point shooter, and played for Bud before. IT's worked out now, but who picked Augustin over Teague to begin with?

The playoff minutes distribution (if everyone is healthy) is going to be interesting. If they go to an 8-9 man rotation, a couple of guys playing now are going to be sitting. Most likely one is Thanasis, but he's looked surprisingly good with regular minutes.

Giannis, Middleton, Holiday, DDV, Lopez, Portis, and Tucker are all givens.

Then you have to pick from Connaughton, Teague, Thanasis, and Forbes.

They aren't playing 11 guys in the playoffs, so I would bet they'll go with a 9 man rotation. They will give a lot of Connaughton's current minutes to Tucker and sit Thanasis and Forbes.  Teague gets 12-15 as a backup to Holiday.

The biggest question will be who closes. Giannis, Middleton, Holiday, and DDV are 4 of the 5. Bud's been going with Lopez or Connaughton in the 5th spot, but will it be Tucker?

I’m still pissed about that game... I was enjoying watching the bench guys getting it done. Thanasis pissing off Luka... Portis and Divincenzo scoring, active energy on both ends... and fucking Middleton playing selfish basketball is the most annoying. I don’t understand why Budenholzer allowed it- the fucking guy shot 6/27... 6/27????? What the fuck are you doing? The Bucks had more energy, more activity, and they were winning with dipshit on the bench. Leave him there. You don’t have it tonight. Let these guys go out there and get us a win.

But no... Budenholzer mindlessly puts him and Holiday in and let’s them shoot them right out of the fucking game. Iso, iso, iso... same result every time: clang.

If I’m Giannis, I’m pissed at both Budenholzer and Middleton. Don’t be stupid, and don’t be selfish. That’s 2 games in the loss column that never should have happened. Now go take it out on Charlotte tonight... and Middleton should be in fucking street clothes.
