Bucks at Raptors, Part 2, November 15th - Giannis out

Liking the effort of the bench players tonight.  Thanasis in and playing hard, solid wing defense.  Like what I'm seeing from Jackson Jr. and Beauchamp so far with effort and decent wing D.  Lillard is looking better tonight as well.  36 points in the 1st quarter/

Beauchamp!  And, it looks to me like Middleton is moving his feet better.  Made a good defensive play and steal that led to a nice jam from Beauchamp

Barnes totally getting away with pushing off and shoulders to the chest.  Lame.

Toronto trying to trap dame near midcourt.  He casually hits a deep 3 with a man in his face and the bucks are up 20 with less than a minute left in the half!

Beasley hits a fade away 3 off the glass at the buzzer!  70-47 at the half!  Beasley having a good game tonight.

Bad news:  Beauchamp leaves the floor with a sprained ankle in the 2nd quarter and will not return.

24 for Dame at the Half, 16 for Beasley

Jackson Jr. flying all over the place in a good way.  He's got the energy they need.  Dame continues to look like Dame

Beasley on fire tonight with the 3!  Career high 7 threes right now.

100-79 at the end of 3.  Dame with 37.  Milwaukee had a 30 point lead at one point before Toronto went on a little run to end the 3rd quarter.  Toronto a little cold from 3 but the Bucks are playing with better energy on defense.

End of 3rd Bucks up by 21!

Just got back from a meeting. When I got in the car to drive home it was a 30 point lead. It's down to 15 with 9 minutes left.

Dame hasn't played at all during Toronto's run.  Has a wrap on his calf.

Bucks restore order go back up by 20. Didn't have to bring Dame back in the 4th. Middleton and Lopez take care of things.

Bucks hitting some big 3's right now to stay ahead.  Brook with one from deep and Cam Payne with another.  Bucks unable to find a way to stop Barnes tonight.

Lopez has been good in the paint tonight on D.  7 blocks tonight!

Sometimes sports make so much sense.

When Giannis played against the Raptors two weeks ago, the Bucks lost 130-111.

When Giannis sat out against the Raptors, the Bucks win 128-112.

So, the Bucks are 35 points better without Giannis ?

Of course, playing Brook Lopez in drop defense instead of chasing guys at the perimeter changes things. He had 7 blocks tonight. Brook has 27 blocks in the 7 games after the players asked Griffin to run a drop defense. He had 2 in the first 4 games.

Pretty interesting game

Toronto didn’t have their full squad either but they were +10 in free throws made and almost +15 in rebounds and still got blown out by a Bucks team without Giannis.
