Bucks bench stunk up the joint tonight... big 3 did their part, but the Spurs seemed to target Forbes and Portis whenever they were on the floor, and they just let them get into a 3 point rhythm. 17-29 from 3? Sheesh...

5 games left. Bucks now a game back of Brooklyn, and the prize at the 3 seed? A now healthy Miami Heat squad. Spoelstra has to be licking his chops after watching tonight.

With Jaylen Brown out of the year and the Celtics likely locked into the 7 seed, that 2 seed means a lot more. Nice that the Bucks played like they didn't care.

The Bucks will likely get Miami. The Nets will get a depleted Celtics team.

Celtics won’t get out of the play-in, now. Think they can get by Charlotte? I don’t.

Wizards  might be the most dangerous play in team now. They started 5-15, but are 27-21 since. They have the firepower to overwhelm the Pacers and if the Celtics lose to Charlotte they’d be in big trouble against the Wizards.

The Celtics are toast. They were probably done even with Jaylen Brown, but the personnel moves Ainge made over the last 3 years were didn't work.

Two years ago they had Tatum, Brown, Irving, Horford, Hayward, Smart, and Rozier. They lost Hayward, Horford, Rozier, and Irving for almost nothing in return. They replaced Irving with Walker, whose injury problems make his contact one of the worst long-term ones in the league. Marcus Smart is essentially a little bit better version of Bledsoe. He's a great defender with terrible shot selection (and unlike Bledsoe, he's a dirty player, too). His contract is also an albatross.

Ainge has to make some big moves this offseason, but his only really good assets are Tatum and Brown.

Boston is a mess.  They are in a real quandary and that was before the Brown injury.

The Kemba Walker contract is terrible and he’s basically on the hook the next two years for almost 40MM per year.   They get some cap relief after this year with Evan Fornier coming off the books but next season doesn’t look much better.

You have to think Toronto will improve and Miami has enough cap space to add one if not two stud players.   Philly and Milwaukee and Brooklyn aren’t going anywhere the next 2-3 years so if you are the Celtics you are all but guaranteed to finish in the 4-8 range which is not where you want to be.
