This is not looking promising tonight. Green, and Lillard all listed as questionable. Giannis and Middleton are probable. Portis is out again for personal reasons (I hope there is nothing serious going in medically in his family).

I am wondering if they are getting ready to trade Portis hence why heβs not playing?
Bucks down 9-2 to start. Wemby has blocked Giannis twice, but one was an obvious uncalled hack. Terrible transition defense.
Bucks trying to make a game of it. Tied 28-28 as the 1st winds down.
35 all at the end of 1.
Middleton's most recent 4 games
0 points awful
22 points - couldn't miss
0 points awful
10 points in the 1st quarter - can't miss
Tied 35-35 after 1
Bucks 71-69 as the 2nd winds down
Middleton with 14 points on 6 for 6 from the field.
Giannis at 21-9-3 at the half.
Connaughton looks great.
As Tschmack says, why is Portis gone for 8 days now? You'd think if it was a family medical situation they'd just say that.
Brook Lopez is getting roasted by the Spurs. They isolate him on the perimeter and blow by him. Like the Celtics and Knicks do.
Taurean Prince might be playing one of the worst games by a Bucks player I've ever seen. Wild shots. Shitty defense. Turnovers. 4 for 13.
Bucks down 11 and fading.
Bucks are in deep trouble since the Spurs just keep doing what the Blazers, Nets, Hornets, etc. do.
Run fast break after every make or miss and beat the Bucks crappy defensive wings down the floor.
I think that when Ryan Rollins started getting real minutes and teams scouted him, we now realize why he was a G league player and always will be.
Green, Trent, Rollins, Prince, and Jackson have been beyond awful.
They really miss Portis' minutes.
Down 17 in the third.
Middleton hasn't missed and has looked good on defense.
Giannis is at 34-12-5 after three.
Dame has 19 on 3 for 5 from three.
Connaughton hasn't missed either.
Those 4 are 30 for 46. and 7 for 11 from three. The rest of the team is 8 for 31 from the floor and 4 for 14 from three.
Giannis sits with the Bucks down 14. He may not get back in if this gets to 20 before he usually comes back.
This is almost over. If you watched this game only, you would look trade Lopez' expiring contract as a priority. It's the same reason he's played off the floor against the Knicks and Celtics. The fact that Portis is missing is a huge problem because they would have to play Giannis 45 minutes to have a realistic chance.
The Bucks defense is bad enough with Giannis it is on the floor tonight. When he sits they are absolutely helpless. The Spurs are not that good on offense, but when all you shoot are layups even they can hit 140+.
Down 22 with 7 minutes left. Why do you bother bringing Giannis back? Let him rest.
Giannis is ready to go after Chris Paul. Paul has always been a dirty player and being the main reason he'll never win a ring is a great side benefit of the Bucks winning that title.
Spurs were 24 for 50 from 3 tonight.
48%.
Thatβs embarrassing.
Just a bad defensive effort. Portis wouldnβt have helped them there.
They need a more athletic defensive minded big and could probably use another good 3 and D wing player.

Portis could have helped in a shootout. Green, Prince, Trent, and Lopez couldnβt hit anything on offense. The fact they got blown out by a fairly average team when Giannis, Middleton, and Dame all played well on both ends is the concern. The Spurs just drove at any other Bucks defender on the floor and other than Ajax had virtually no resistance getting to the rim. Wemby would be on the perimeter to pull Giannis away from the rim.
