Now that he gets FTs, his ankle doesn't look so bad.
How does durant get 3 fts there? The ball was well out of his hand before Matthew's made contact.
Giannis at the line. And the lead! DEFENSE!!!
Suck it Brooklyn
YES!!! BUCKS WIN 120-119 IN OT!!!
The Bucks pull it off. Unbelieveable. They're ready for the playoffs.
What a game.
My God but this team has heart!
IDGAF what anybody says, Giannis is the MVP and it ainβt even close.
And they won this game without Middleton, at the end!
I love the fact it was 2 Giannis FTs to win it
The Nets benefitted from some good 3pt shooting and a lot of bullshit calls down the stretch yet still could not get over.
Hey Brooklyn - itβs called defense. And ironically crap FT shooting from Drummond and Claxton that cost you.
When it matters the Bucks have players that can get a stop.
Bucks +16 on the glass. Thatβs how you beat a team that shot 50% from 3
Giannis hits a step back three to tie it in regulation and then 2 FTs with 3 seconds left to win it.
Matthews challenged that last shot just enough. I expect every shot Durant takes to go in.
At least Middleton will be rested for the back-to-back tomorrow.
These pictures are his first point and the shot that broke Kareem's record.

First of all, Brooklyn can eat a bag of spicy dicks.
Second of all, Giannis, last two games on the road in Philly and Brooklyn, goes for 84 points, 28 rebounds, 12 assists, 3 blocks and 2 steals.
If these two games donβt put him neck and neck with Joker for the MVP, something is terribly wrong.

It wasn't just the counting stats, which are incredible. It was that he made the game-clinching block in the Sixers game on the last shot. In the Nets game, he hit a step-back three to tie the game in regulation with 18 seconds left and then hit 2 FTs with 3 seconds left to win it.
Jokic is great and can do the things on offense that Giannis can do (except dunk over 3 guys) and is one of the best passers I've ever seen (Magic Johnson level), but as good as Jokic's defensive metrics are, he can't make plays like the Embiid block on the defensive end.
Jokic is a very similar player to Magic Johnson (Magic became a very respectable 3-point shooter at the end of his career). Giannis is Bill Russell with the ability to handle the ball and a better jump shot.
Itβs really tough to draw a lot of comparisons to Giannis. Heβs really not a traditional big in any sense of the word. Just like Kevin Durant isnβt really a forward but a really tall shooting guard.
Jokic is an elite passer to be sure. But thatβs actually a very underrated part of Gianniβsβ game. Jokic is also a better shooter and slightly better rebounder. But Giannis is an elite defensive player. Jokic is not. That all being said, I think Jokic has to do more for the Nuggets as their overall supporting cast isnβt as strong.
Still, if Giannis keeps this up over the final half a dozen games itβs going to be hard to deny him.

I think Jokic will get it, but it mindboggling that Giannis is probably the DPOY (and certainly 1st team ALL-NBA defense) and averages 30/12/6 and will not be the MVP.
The guy who is arguably the best defensive player in the league and may lead the league in scoring on 55% shooting is not going to be MVP? I know Jokic is good, but that makes no sense.
We all know Giannis is the MVP. But to list n ti the media, heβs not in the conversation. Itβs Joker vs Embidd. 9 of 100 media guys listed Giannis first, which is criminal.
Itβs almost as if theyβre just completely ignoring the stats. And as MP pointed out, itβs not just the numbers, but how the Greek Freak is closing out games. He can literally take over a game, and will a team to win. Heβs the best two way player on the planet right now. He may not be the pure shooter that a Durant is, but man, he seems to be gaining confidence in his abilities from outside the paint. Heβs improving at the line, too.
