Why wonβt Middleton give up the ****ing ball??????
Middleton misses another bunny.
He's 7 for 22. As we said in another thread. He's not near being a max player.
Game over. Sitting out Bledsoe and Brogdon let Mitchell go off.
Middleton sucking on offense didn't help either.
Non Giannis and Lopez guys went 15 for 60.
Even the games they lose they look good.
Giannis with 43-13-8 and the two previous games he played that they lost he went 27-18-4 and 43-18-4.
Well, bench won the game in LA, but not tonight.

Non Giannis, Lopez, and Middleton guys went 8 for 38.
When you have to play Connaughton 36 minutes (-20) that's what happens. They were +19 in Giannis' 32 minutes and -23 in the 16 minutes he sat.

If either Bledsoe or Brogdon play, that's a win. No way Mitchell goes off against them
Damnit......tough one tonight but helluva effort, after playing Le'Bitch, without starting backcourt.
Even in this loss ...this team is damn impressive!

Playing without their top 4 guards - any one of which would have been able to at least slow down Mitchell.
These are the last key minutes DJ Wilson will play this year. He needs to get back to the end of the bench. Christian Wood is a better option right now.
I think this is where Pau Gasol comes in...
I think you are right....
Theyβve won something like 21 of their last 25 games. Hard to complain too much about it and Utah has shown they are a decent team.
The Bucks started the season 16-9. That's a respectable 52 win pace.
Since then they are 32-6. That's a 69 win pace.
Two of the games they lost in that span were games Giannis sat out.
The other 4 games include three games that were the second game of back to backs - including two where other starters sat out for rest. All 4 of these games were one possession games with under two minutes left.
1. At Miami on December 22nd after winning at Boston the night before. Brogdon sat out.
2. Toronto at Home on January 5th after winning against the Hawks the night before.
3. At OKC. Paul George went off.
4. Last night at Utah after winning in LA the night before. Bledsoe and Brogdon didn't play.
In the 4 games that Giannis played that they lost, Giannis averaged 30.5 points, 16 rebounds, and 5 assists and was 8 of 15 from the 3 point line.
Top 4 guards don't play, their rookie goes off for 40+, the game is away against a fine team, and it's the second of a back to back?
Stunning it was as close as it was.
Not stunning... not anymore. We all need to recalibrate what we expect to see from this team. Theyβre trying to win a championship. Legitimately trying to win a championship. The bar elevates.
They put up a good fight against a good opponent without their starting backcourt. Canaan shouldnβt be on a roster. The Bucks came apart offensively as soon as he subbed in.
But itβs ok. That jumbo lineup probably got a fair amount of attention around the league... they were something like 36-12 with that lineup on the floor. Iβm sure that was strategic as well... get βem looking at it, scouting it. Itβs not quite the βdeath lineupβ from the 73 win Warriors, but itβs sure interesting...

You mean the guy who was a starting point guard on the 2015-16 Sixer tankathon year (10-72) shouldn't be on a roster?
I would say DJ Wilson shouldn't be getting minutes right now either. I'm not sure why he gets minutes over Christian Wood.
At one point last night, the Bucks were playing DJ Wilson, Isaac Canaan, Tony Snell, and Connaughton with Brook Lopez.
With Gasol on board and Sterling Brown and George Hill returning soon, that type of lineup won't happen again.
Heard on Sirius/XM this morning that Snell was a -30. Yes minus 30
That can't happen.

Mirotic & Lopez were both +16. Bucks will be having some fun in the playoffs.
Again, I think we need to keep certain things in perspective. We all know the challenges of a back to back setup especially against a good team (Utah) in their home gym. The injuries and substitutions werenβt working in their favor either. Yet they practically pulled it off and stole one.
If they go on a several game losing streak then maybe we should get concerned.
Still haven't lost 2 in a row, right?
Gotta beat Phoenix tonight to keep that streak going...
