Bucks @ Cavs - Back to Back

It would be good to get these two given a tough game in Denver on Monday.  

Cleveland #1 in the NBA defending the paint.

Giannis with an early charge... their D is going to try to limit hi .

Bucks lacking energy... slow to get back, lazy possessions with Giannis firing an early 3. They need to pick up the pace.

Turnovers had been limited the last 2 games... Bucks already with 3.

Middleton really sloppy handling the ball tonight. Needs to be a catch and shoot guy until he gets the cobwebs out...

Cleveland not letting the Bucks get much in the paint. They’re playing the passing lanes and pushing the Bucks further out. 4 early turnovers. Giannis gets his second foul early.

Bucks had mechanical issues and didn’t get into Cleveland until today. Not a good deal. Bucks sloppy early as a result.

Holiday and Augustine each with 2 assists, all around the rim. Bucks need to keep moving on offense. When they move, they score. Solo iso or dribble down and shoot possessions are killing them.

Embarrassing... Craig and Portis 2 on 1... Portis fumbled it away, turnover- give up a 3 the other way. Ugly...

Bench unit was bad and Bucks are down 7 at the quarter.

Connaughton missed 2 FTs, missed two layups, and gave up a wide-open 3 to his assignment on defense in about a 45 second span.

Bobby Portis carrying the Bucks offense tonight... 10 points leads all scorers.

Divincenzo with a “No...no... no... yeeeeeessss...” from 28 feet. Starting to shake off the travel cobwebs.

Good fuck, guys... two turnovers in the final 2 possessions. They’re very lucky to only be down 3. 22/33 from 2 certainly helps when you’re 2/13 from 3.

Bucks really mess up the last 40 seconds with an assist from some really poor officiating.

Down only 3 at half despite the Cavs being 8 for 19 from 3 and the Bucks going 2 for 13.

Kudos to Divincenzo for solid first half - 6-6-5 and some pretty good overall defense. Bucks starting Gs both with 5 assists to start the game.

Bucks front court players need to cut down the turnovers. They have all 8.

Wow... Middleton with a “he’s not paying attention” pass for the Holiday layup.

Bucks picked it up defensively that third Q... 34-26 and a 5 point lead.

23 assists on 39 baskets... again, sharing the ball, penetrating, getting the ball into the paint and finding open teammates.

Big time stroke by DD!!! Now they’re starting to separate. Keep playing D, keep crashing the O boards...

Really nice win. They didn’t shoot for shit from 3, but kept pounding the paint, played increasingly better defense, and overcame the bad shooting with better play.

Cleveland might not be a bad team if they ever get a healthy Kevin Love, but maybe he’ll never get back to what he once was.  It seems like he’s been out most of the season.

Really liked the defensive effort in the second half, out scoring Cleveland 63-42.

Afrter a few struggling weeks, Divincenzo put in a very nice game last night. Finished 11-11-7, 1 turnover, hit 2 threes and 4/9 overall, a steal and some very good defense overall. You get that from him every night that’s going to win a lot of ballgames. He started shaking loose against Indiana, and last night was one of his best games of the year.

Another point- against a team with Andre Drummond and Jarrett Allen, the Bucks out rebounded Cleveland 54-36, collecting 13 O boards in the process. The Bucks are now the top rebounding team in the NBA, are 7th in offensive rebounding (Cleveland came in 5th, incidentally), and are now #3 in assists. Let’s keep it continue tonight...

I didn’t get a chance to watch the game, but looking at gamecast and the stat sheet it appears they dominated on the glass and played really well in the second half especially on D.   The Cavs can be pesky at times, but Milwaukee dropped the hammer and that’s exactly what you want to see against a team you are clearly better than road or home.   When you only make 7 bombs and still blow out the opposition that’s a good sign.

DDV seems to be coming around a bit on his 3pt stroke as well.  Go figure.  Maybe he follows x4.  The minute I talk about trading him and the shots start falling.

I would look for the Bucks to rain threes tonight... comfortable stay in the Hotel, no travel fatigue... they’re going to be ready.  They need to keep it continue.
