Bucks up 31-22 after one. Bucks 7 for 9 from three.

BUcks still up 9 at the half.
Giannis held to 3 points with a constant wall.
Bucks were up 23 and up 20 with 2 possessions to the Knicks 1 with 30 seconds left. Nwora misses a wide open 3, they give up a layup and then Nwora gets picked clean for a layup trying to dribble behind his back. Nwora shit the bed and the lead drops to 16. Just inexcusable at the end of the 3rd.
Bucks 22 point with 1 minute left in the third cut to 9 in less than 4 minutes . That Nwora -5 (at least) last 30 seconds of the third completely changed the momentum.
Bud timeout - follwed by a shot clock violation without GIannis getting a touch.
Bucks now only up 4. JUst brutal.
Bucks have blown a 23 point lead. Tied.
They blew a 21 point lead against the Knicks a few days ago to lose and are in danger of blowing an even bigger lead with 13 minutes left tonight.
And for some reason they continue to let D. Rose shoot wide open shots.
Giannis with a monster block up 4 and then Connaughton with 2 threes and it's back to 10.
Big win. Blow an entire 23 point lead in about 6 minutes. Then close them out with Connaughton and Allen hitting 3s and Giannis protecting the rim.
Nwora getting roasted on twitter for one of the worst stretches of play you'll ever see. In about a 2 minute span over the 3rd to 4th quarter he had two lazy turnovers and 2 defensive lapses to give up wide-open 3s. Bud pulled him about 20 seconds into the 4th. It was brutal. Hopefully he can learn from it.
My God that was a fun 4th quarter. Ok, for a while it wasn't fun, but watching Pat and Grayson get hot when they needed it made for a fantastic way to close that game out. That's just how it's going to be for the Bucks going forward as they just don't have the depth to sustain anything for a full 4 quarters until they get healthier.
Jordan Nwora, whoa, he was horrific there for a bit and I'd say more than anyone, he let the Knicks get back momentum with his carelessness. The coaches need to get on his ass the next few days for that bullcrap.
Other than that though, that was by far the most I've been into a Bucks regular season game this year, fun game to watch since it had a happy ending.
Grayson Allen might have been the dirtiest college basketball player I can ever remember. He was easy to hate, and he deserved it, he was a punk.
With the Bucks, I love watching him. I have seen zero signs of that punk ass crap he used to pull at Duke, and he's almost the perfect complement to what they already had. He is exceptional in how fast he can get a shot off in rhythm. Sure, anybody can shoot it quick, but he shoots it very well while getting it off incredibly quick. I think basically, he is every bit as good for the Bucks as Bognanovich would have been had the trade gone through last year. Fantastic pickup for the Bucks.
Portis and Allen combined for 30 points and Pat C had 20+
When you consider the Bucks are down 2 1/2 starters (DDV is the 1/2) thatβs impressive.
Over the course of the last couple of seasons and this year, I donβt get the impression that Bud is overly concerned about racking up regular season wins. So, heβs going to mix and match different lineups and not push these guys to the limit.
The reality is if Milwaukee has their full compliment of players itβs going to be damn near impossible to beat them 4 out of 7 games. Sure, they lost Tucker, but Allen and Hill make the backcourt significantly deeper. After a horrendous start, Semi is playing better. Hood is a proven guy that can give you 6-10 per night off the bench. And if Nwora can get be more consistent, heβs a threat as well.
Given the short offseason for Milwaukee, and even shorter considering Holiday and Middleton played longer, the goal to me is survive and advance. Meaning, letβs tinker and take it a little easy on these guys until the holidays and then they can start to settle in and get their sea legs back. Surely, you donβt want them to mail it in but I expect the fast starts by teams like Washington and Cleveland and Chicago will even out a bit.
If there was any pressure, the last two games have really reduced it. When they were sitting at 4-6 with this back-to-back on the horizon, 4-8 was looking really likely.
With the new playoff format, the biggest difference is between the 6th and 7th seeds. 7 and 8 go into the play-in tournament with 9 and 10 and you are a freak bad two-game stretch (or a minor Giannis injury that keeps him out a week) away from being eliminated quickly.
The concern is (and it's a lot less than it was after the last two games and you are not 4-8) that Middleton and Lopez will remain out for a while longer, Giannis would need some load management for a few games, and you'd be 20 games into the season sitting at something like 6-14. To get comfortable to a 5 or 6 seed, you probably have to win 45 games. To do that you'd have to play at a 60+ win pace for the last 3/4s of the season if you started 6-14. They could do that, but ideally you'd do what they did last year, get comfortably into a top 3 seed and coast a little down the stretch to heal up some of the nagging injuries that always happen.
