Bucks down 26-20 to a Sixers team that started Maxey, Drummond, Korkmaz, Milton, and Paul Reed. No Embiid, Simmons, or Tobias Harris.

If the Bucks lose to the guys playing for the Sixers tonight even without Middleton and Lopez, they really do have major, major problems. Like, they may be in the playin tournament as a 7-10 seed at the end of the season-level problems.

A completely pathetic defensive performance by the Bucks in the first. Down 39-30 to a team without its 3 best players. They allow Maxsey to score 17 and give up layup after layup.

Given who the Sixers are running out there, maybe the worst defensive quarter of the season.

The only reason the Bucks aren't down close to 20 is that Ojeleye is 3 for 3 for 8 points.

Really the only thing that concerns me about the last 2 weeks is whether Lopez is going to get back in a reasonable amount of time.  And of course if Middleton has a really bad case of Covid that would suck too.

The extreme depth they had in 2018-2020 is toast.  They could throw so many capable guys out there, it would just wear teams down.  It seems like their current situation is almost the opposite of that.  Other teams can wear the Bucks down now.

Of course that will change assuming Donte, Khris, and Brook comes back, but until then every game is going to be a massive struggle due to depth issues.
