That was the case when the Bucks got up 10 in the third.
They've been letting it go more late in the 4th.

I say that and Paul gets a completely BS call.
Weak foul on Ingles.
So, Ayton can take 14 steps on offense?
Two terrible offensive sets in a row. Holiday didn't get bailed out like Chris Paul did on the other end.
BS no call on the Holiday drive.
My gawd these refs suck
Very illustrative of this game that the Suns still had a foul to give with 30 seconds left in a game where they have hammered Middleton and Holiday constantly.
How is that not a foul on Booker? JFC
Lopez got fouled by two different guys on that bucket. How can you not call that guy hammering him at the rim?
Wow a set play in the last minute that works!
Always hit and miss with Coach Bud
Thought sure the refs were calling a foul on the Bucks, there.
How is that foul not an intentional clear path foul?
JFC this game looks fixed
That should be Bucks ball.
The officials have been terrible in this game
No question that is off of Ross on that challenge. It's pretty clear.
Thatβs got to be Bucks ball
Love to see that Booker made the turnover that cost the Suns the game.

It's not fixed. The officials just lost control of the physical nature and struggled to get it back.
Officials doing their best to keep the Suns in it.
How in the hell is that a foul on Ingles?
Unbelievable foul by Ingles.
fuck you refs
Use your f-ing head Ingles
How us that a foul on ingles?
Love that Booker just lost whatever chance they had by missing the first.
Regardless of outcome the league should investigate this game
Bucks win it, 101-104. 14 straight!
Holiday got the best of Booker again

Donβt agree, incredibly one-sided calls in the second half
in the last 3 games, Giannis has 6 points combined. Middleton has a total of 23 on 2 for 7 from three. Portis, Middleton, and Connaughton are on minutes restrictions.
And they are 3-0 against decent teams.

Standing straight up, leaning back and the refs let Booker lean into him. One of the things they are told to pay special attention to.
I hope Crowder stays healthy. He's basically PJ Tucker with a lot more ability on offense.
Middleton is now 26 for 90 from three this year.
He's actually above his career FG from 2 this year at over 50% (65 for 128).
How much longer until he gets his legs back to hit from deep? He's got about 7 weeks to get there.
Right now Holiday is playing like their 2nd best player, not Middleton.
Still, Middleton is sneaky good at the midrange shot and I still think heβs rounding back into form.
Barring the horrible officiating the Bucks really showed off their depth. Had the refs not tried to keep Phoenix in the game the Bucks are clearly better than the Suns.

I thought one of the more interesting strategies Bud used yesterday was to use Joe Ingles to guard Chris Paul in crunch time.
It really makes you wonder how much Chris Paul has left. Everyone loves the Suns chances after getting Durant, but for the Suns to win a title, they'll have to advance through multiple playoff rounds with very little depth to rely on. Booker will be fine playing big minutes if necessary, but they'll need a 38-year-old Chris Paul and a 34 year old guy with a reconstructed Achilles (Durant) to probably average 40 minutes a game.
And they don't control their own first round pick until 2030.
They would have been better trading Ayton than Bridges.

The problem with the Superteams stuff is that you usually end up surrounding your 3 future HOFers (Durant/Irving/Harden; Durant/Paul/Booker; Lebron/AD/Westbrook; Kawhi/George/W; etc.) with a bunch of subpar role players. You have to trade away all your good role players with a shit ton of draft capital.
Booker is a great player, but if the Suns truly wanted to win this year with Durant their best move would have been to trade Booker for Durant straight up. Why do you need Booker when you have Durant? Durant is a top 10 offensive guy all time and you aren't going to run plays in crunch time for Booker if you have Kevin Fricking Durant. They have very, very similar offensive skills. It's just Durant does everything Booker does better and he's 6 inches taller.
Which these three 8 deep rotations is more likely to win a title?
1. Durant, Paul, Ayton, Bridges, Crowder, Cam Johnson, Cam Payne, and Terrence Ross.
2. Booker, Paul, Ayton, Bridges, Crowder, Cam Johnson, Cam Payne, and Terrence Ross.
3. Durant, Booker, Paul, Ayton, Torrey Craig, Cam Payne, Terrence Ross, and some random guy.
I'd say it's in the order I listed above.
The Durant Warriors were probably the best team of the modern era because they got Durant without giving up anything and could surround 3 of the best shooters of all time (Steph, Klay, and KD) with elite role players (Green, Iguodala, Looney, Livingston).
The Bucks are a threat because they got lucked into getting Middleton and Giannis for virtually nothing (a 15th overall pick and a trade throw-in) and got Holiday without giving up any part of their rotation.
@Tschmack posted:They would have been better trading Ayton than Bridges.
They have zero rim protection without Ayton. Giannis ate Ayton alive in the Finals, can you imagine what Giannis or Embiid would do to a Suns team whose only defensive lane presence is KD?
