Frank the Tank schooling Giannis??

Giannis has looked like he's not even been trying on the offensive end. It's embarrassing how badly the Hawks have taken him out of this game.

If the Hawks win tonight, they will be 1-3 against the Hawks this year and will have blown 20+ point leads twice.

He played smart at the end and found the open guys and they hit shots.

I guess that the Bucks being able to go 3-1 over a 4 game stretch where he's hit 18 for 50 from the floor and averaged 17 points is a good long-term sign.

Tie game. As good as Ingles was last game, he's been worse than bad tonight.

That foul he committed where he kind of Ole'd slap the arm as the guy goes in for a dunk. Just GTFO the way. One of the more stupid fouls I've seen in some time.

But hey -- Jrue when it mattered For the Win baby! Wasn't pretty but I'll take it. Style points don't matter and it would've been a crime to flush that hot first quarter down the toilet.

The Bucks tie the season series with Atlanta at 2-2. This should have been a runaway win for Milwaukee. Up 24, at one point, to allow Atlanta to take the lead, for a second, late in the game. Holiday and Carter, saves the Bucks' bacon, with some good shooting, at the end of the 4th quarter.

Watching Holiday shoot I have no idea how he goes into the funks that he does.   His form is so smooth and the step back is almost indefensible.  Maybe all the hard work on defense affects the shot?   That shot from behind the backboard was sick.

Holiday and Middleton are very similar players in some respects. Middleton is better on offense, don't get me wrong. But both have provided many examples of playing 3.5 quarters of terrible offensive basketball, and then hitting shots in the clutch to win games. A classic Middleton game is to start out something like 3 for 12 from the field, and then 5 of 7 in crunch time to end up 8 for 19 from the field.

Holiday had the most important 3 minutes of offensive productivity in Bucks history (at least in the last 50 years) in Game 7 of the Nets series. The Bucks had fallen behind by 5 a couple of times with less than 5 minutes left. Holiday was 2 for 17 from the floor and 0 for 6 from three at that point. From about 4:30 to 1:30 left in that quarter, he hit 3 of 4 from the field (2 of 3 from three) and had 2 assists. It takes a lot of fortitude to take those shots in a Game 7 in any context, let alone when you've suffered through what was looking like one of the worst shooting nights in NBA playoff history. Without Holiday doing that, the Bucks lose that series. Bud is probably gone and they probably blow up this current version of the team.

I think the struggles Holiday sometimes has on offense is that he's not an explosive athlete. He's as strong as an ox for his size and uses his legs and torso on defense to keep guys off balance as well as any player his size in NBA history. Guys like Durant, Luka, and Zion all really struggle against him which doesn't make sense based on Jrue's appearance. The problem on offense is that he's not a guy that is going to explode over you for a dunk or can get shots off easily against taller defenders, so you can really give him problems if you play tight defense with elite defenders. If he's the 3rd option on offense, you are generally in really good shape as a team. If he was your lead option, it would be a struggle.
