Giannis Antetokounmpo will rest a sore right knee and Paul George will sit out his first game since returning from injury as eight total starters have been ruled out of Friday's game between the LA Clippers and Milwaukee Bucks.

Both teams played overtime games Thursday night, with the Bucks winning 120-119 at Brooklyn and the Clippers losing 135-130 at Chicago.

Reggie Jackson (rest), Marcus Morris Sr. (left knee soreness) and Nic Batum (left ankle soreness) will join George on the Clippers' sideline. Rookie Brandon Boston Jr. (non-COVID-19 illness) is also out.The Bucks' injury report indicates that Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday (sprained left ankle), Khris Middleton (sore left wrist) and Brook Lopez won't play. The Bucks cited return-to-competition reconditioning as the reason for Lopez's unavailability, as the 7-footer returned March 14 after missing most of the season with a back injury.

It sure seems that players in today’s NBA are soft, physically. I don’t ever remember guys back in the 80s and 90s taking this many games off. Everybody has some sort of boo boo and needs to β€œrest”.

Just giving away this game that might have huge seeding implications makes little sense to me.

Sore knee? Here, take some Tylenol. You can ice it later tonight.

Giannis, Middleton, and Holiday have contract that have guaranteed them about 540 million dollars. Those are obviously gigantic investments.

The Bucks played an OT game the night before and this is their 3rd game in 4 days after the got back to Milwaukee well after midnight this morning.

The injury risk in these games is about as high as it gets.

Blame the scheduling. The Clippers are sitting half their guys too as they are in the same position.

The Bucks won the title last year as the 3 seed.

Bucks down 26 going the 4th.

Clippers are 17 for 32 from three.

I feel bad for fans that paid money to watch the equivalent of a Bucks G league team play tonight.

Yep, $58 down the drain plus $20 for parking.  That all said, it was my first game back at Fiserv Forum since before Covid hit.  Just happy to be back there again even though this ended up being nothing more than an exhibition game.
