Dame, Middleton, and Beverly ruled out. Even against the G league version of the Grizzlies, Giannis may have to go for 50 to get a win tonight.

Memphis will be missing 4 of their top 5 players: Morant, Smart, Vince Williams, and Desmond Bane

From recent results, this suggests some guys from Memphis will probably have career games and then disappear back into the G league forever starting next season.

Dame is out again?  Of course he is.

Swear to JFC if they blow the 2 seed because of this guy sitting out they need to trade his ass in the offseason.  For as much as people have griped about Middleton at least he’s committed to the team.

Is this game on TV? I went to ESPN and it says the Grizzlies are playing the Bucks. When I click the channel, the game being aired is Oklahoma City at Boston. Is this more Minnesota media bullshit? I see the Timberwolves are playing the Raptors on BSNorth, at the same time.

Maybe that's why Andre Jackson Jr. doesn't play. He just missed TWO wide open 4 footers on the same possession. Instead of being up 7, the Bucks give up a layup in transition. He looked like an 8th grader playing on offense with those two shots.

You are lucky to be not watching this. It's a clearly completely gassed Giannis playing with a lot of guys that probably shouldn't be getting NBA minutes on a good team (Jackson Jr., Green, Gallinari, TyTy Washington).

They are trending towards losing back to back games to two of the worst teams in the NBA who are sitting most of their good players.

Of course, the officials letting Giannis and Lopez get mugged all night with no calls (Giannis has 0 FTs on 14 FG attempts) is a contributing factor.

Lillard owes everyone attending this game tonight a refund.

I really hope the owners demand a change in the next CBA that if you aren’t injured you need to play.  Dame is making a mockery of this situation and screwing over fans that pay good money to watch these guys play.

Bucks now trail by 6. Giannis has set up 4 possessions in a row for wide open 3s and they've all missed.

Just another pathetic performance. Surprised Dame bothered to show up and sit on the bench tonight. I thought maybe he's skip another game entirely - he must have a second cousin who is having a birthday party somewhere.

Green missed 3

Green missed 3

Portis missed 3

Green missed 3

There's a reason Green didn't get drafted. He can hit shots in meaningless situations, but when it really counts he turns into a different shooter.

This is about as bad a two game stretch as the Bucks have played in the last 7-8 years.

They just lost to teams with a combined record of 41-112. The Wizards were missing their three best players. The Grizzlies were missing 4 of their best 5.

Doc Rivers can't come back next year if this is what he inspires.

What a colossal fukk up the last two games. Transition defense has been terrible. Lopez can't guard anyone. Bucks miss 9 threes in a row in crunch time.

They lost to two G league level teams (aside from Jared Jackson Jr. tonight) while playing a clearly dinged up Giannis 70 minutes. Dame sits his ass on the bench plotting his way out of town in the offseason.

This is utterly fukking stupid. Leaving Giannis in a game when you are down double digits with less than a minute left. WTAF is Rivers trying to do? Have him blow out his knee?

And then you call timeout down 10 with 40 seconds left? For what? That's an Adrian Griffin type move.

Somewhere Mike Budenholzer is sitting quietly, drinking expensive wine, and laughing his ass off.

Jrue Holiday is also probably laughing his ass off on the inside, but is way to classy to ever say anything.

The vibe of the Bucks right now is a team that looks like they know their season is over and they are just waiting for inevitable playoff loss to happen.

Let me get this straight. Playing against a shit Memphis team that was 25-50 entering the night, a team with most of their starters out, we lost with three of our five starters shooting a combined 7 for 30 from the floor?

How much is Giannis regretting signing that extension? This team is a hot mess. This is the second head coach this team has quit on this year. We have no young talent on the way, and no high draft picks for the foreseeable future.

Giannis deserves better than this, and so do we. This team is a clown car right now.

And another year of Giannis’ prime frittered away.

I would guess a lot of the Eastern conference playoff teams are trying to figure out how to get a first round matchup with the Bucks.

At what point does Jon Horst's job become a topic of discussion? He traded for a guy that doesn't want to be there and ruined a 55 win team that would have had a long shot at a title to turn it into a team of guys that looks like they can't stand playing with each other.

The Bucks dropping to the 5th or 6th seed in the first round is still very much in play. They are only 3 games on the Heat for the 6th seed and 2 on the Knicks, Cavs, and Magic. They play the Magic twice, the Knicks, Thunder, and Celtics. They may catch a break if the Celtics rest guys, but other than that you would predict they'll lose the other 4 games at this point.

They have one "easy" game left. The Raptors have lost 15 in a row. If the Bucks lose to them on Friday, Milwaukee may not win another game this regular season.

This team hasn’t looked right since the beginning of the season.   I think it’s easy to blame it on Adrian Griffin and Doc Rivers but it almost feels to me like they’re pissed that Holiday was traded for a guy (Dame) that clearly did not want to be there.

Now he’s half assed taking a week off DURING the season to “be with his family” right in the thick of playoff positioning and I’m sorry that can’t sit well with guys like Khris and Brook and Giannis and Bobby - guys that worked their asses off and checked their egos at the door to win a title.

I think MP2 nailed it.  Dame can’t stand not being “the guy” and he’s more interested in his rep and scoring 30 a game and winning 3pt shooting contests than actually sacrificing a bit to win a ring.  That’s incredible to me.

Now it almost feels like he’s mailing it in to force Milwaukee’s hand.  The problem is that’s not the Bucks fault.  But it sure seems to me he’s just fine if the Bucks flame out once again.

I also feel Giannis has a hand in this.   He's got his fingerprints so over this trade.   This pressure to make move(s) pushed Horst to feel like he had to do something IMO.  Giannis is no Rodgers but let the GM's do their damn job.

He should already be on the hot seat. That point was passed a while ago.

LMAO.....

I didn't even watch any of the game - logged in this morning to read you guys talk about it.

You did not disappoint 😉😄

How long before Giannis wants to join OKC?

He will have his finger prints all over another big trade too…..his.

Yes. It is an overreaction to a game where Dame, Middleton, and Beverly sat out, and Giannis clearly wasn't 100%.

And over the last two (terrible losses) Beasley is 5 for 25 from the floor and 4 for 17 from three. Connaughton is 6 for 23 and 5 for 19 from three. Crowder is 4 for 15 and 2 for 11. Most of these shots were completely uncontested. You aren't going to win many games when 3 of your top 6 guys are 15 for 63 from the floor and 11 for 47 from three on wide open shots. You could tell Giannis got to the point last night where he jacked up a couple of threes because no one else was hitting them in the fourth quarter.

But the concern is that this team has appeared to quit on Doc Rivers in too many games this year.

There is also concern that two guys that looked like they could at least play minutes in games like this (against crappy teams) and provide some energy are banished to the end of the bench. Doc loves his guys from his former teams, but playing Gallinari is coaching malpractice at this point. I would argue you are better off playing Thanasis than this version of Gallinari.

Wha they should be doing is playing Beauchamp or Jackson Jr. instead. They would clearly provide more defense and hustle than the old guys, but whatever confidence they had is completely shot after Doc arrived.

Jackson Jr. has played 17 minutes since the all-star break. Beauchamp has played 21 minutes. What's left of Gallinari's corpse has played 141 minutes. Gallinari literally can't guard anyone - the guy was a weak defender to begin with and he's been essentially unplayable on the defensive end in the NBA for 3-4 years since he tore his ACL. If he was an offensive threat you could justify the minutes, but since the all-star break he is 1 for 11 from three. Yet, he's getting some regular minutes and the two young guys are glued to the bench. None of these 3 are going to play in the playoffs anyway, but maybe if you give Jackson or Beauchamp those minutes against crappy teams, they give you an energy boost and, at least, play defense and beat the G-league versions of the Wizards and Grizzlies. And you end up as the two seed and rest guys for the last week of the season instead of fighting to avoid losing home court advantage in the first round.

I think this could happen, but Giannis should be cautious about this. He's an icon in Milwaukee and can retire as a beloved best player in franchise history in 6-7 years. If he forces his way out, he absolutely has to win a title in the new place or it will be considered a failure. And I doubt fans in New York are going to hold off from booing him when he has one of those 3 for 11 type nights from the FT line.

Dame got what he wanted and, barring them flipping the switch in the playoffs (which could still happen), he's not exactly enhanced his legacy.
