Bucks vs Philly back to back

The fundamental issue is if Giannis is at the top of the key you can sag defenders into the paint and if he attempts to drive to the hoop it’s walled off.   This was Phoenix the other night where he tripped over his own feet in last possession of regulation.  No one was afraid he would take and hit a wide open 3.

On the other hand, you get it to Holiday and let him go to work and someone will likely be open or he will be able to wiggle free and get close to the hoop for one of his patented Brogdon type layups.  

Just read that Ben Simmons didn't even make the trip to Milwaukee and is out again today. Embiid is questionable.

The Bucks need to take care of business and put the Sixers away early so they rest Embiid and wave the white flag in the second half.

Got a tough 5 games in 7 days stretch, and on the road for 4 next week. Every win counts, need to lock into winning basketball now.

Embiid also out. Simmons and Embiid both out means the Bucks need to make this a blowout to be able to rest guys for the second half of a back-to-back against the Hawks.

DDV passes up an open 3 and the Bucks have a terrible first possession and then give up a transition 3. At some point, do you consider starting Connaughton?

No one for the Sixers is bigger than 6'7". The Bucks opening three possessions are three 3s and a Giannis drive from the top of the key for a turnover. How about posting Giannis or Lopez up? They have 5 inches on everyone.

I wonder what Bryn Forbes turnover rate when he has to take more than 1 dribble is? It seems like 25% of his possessions when he drives end in a turnover.

Bucks getting sloppy here with a chance to put this away. A guy banking in a 30 footer off of one foot doesn't help, but Giannis taking 20 footers is not how to put this game out of reach.

This might be the worst game of the year to watch in terms of how both teams are playing. The Sixers are missing Embiid and Simmons and just decided to turn it into a slogfest.

Holiday and Middleton have also been awful on offense.

Bud brings back Giannis with 13 seconds left and ends up with a wide open Connaughton 3. Bud actually pays attention.

The fact that this is even close given that Simmons and Embiid are out is embarrassing. The Bucks may still win this, but it makes the game tomorrow much more of a problem if you have to play Giannis, Middleton, and Holiday 35 minutes today.

Why would you play Lopez against the small lineup? Why not save him to match up against Dwight Howard when he comes in?

Philly 10-0 run, now down 1. Bucks having their 7 foot center shoot corner threes against a team without a guy bigger than 6'7" on the floor.

It only took Bud 5 minutes to sub out Lopez after he was getting abused by the Philly schemes to get open shot after open shot to start the half. Not coincidentally, the Bucks immediately go on a run to push the lead from 1 to 12.
