Starting this thread a day early because.....
I have a Super Bowl prop bet.
Bucks total points in first half (-6.5) vs. the total points scored in the Super Bowl.
I got the "over" at +125
Let's hope the Bucks score 80 in the first half.

Whatโs the number? The Bucks certainly could light up the board- any word if Giannis is playing?
The Super Bowl of course is currently at 54. So assuming the total doesn't go any higher than say 60 in the actual game, The Bucks need to score 67 (or more) for me to win.
Fun prop bet across 2 sports.
Bucks really struggling right now to keep the energy.
No George Hill for a while, but it looks like DDV is back.
Gotta get Lopez and Giannis going in terms of shooting.
Lopez is 16 for his last 65 from 3. He's one of the defensive players in the NBA, so he can't get come off the floor too much.
Giannis is 4 for his last 23 from 3.
Those two are going to be on the court during the playoffs no matter what.
They do have to sort out what to do with Wes Matthews. He's 16 for his last 53 from 3. Do they make a move at the trade deadline for a 3 and D guy instead of him?
R. Lopez, DDV, Korver, Ilyasova, and Connaughton as a group?
Is Bud trying to give up a 15-4 type of run?

A very "vanilla" group.
Giannis really struggling to shoot the ball. Inside, outside... heโs just way off.
A really sloppy stretch for the Bucks. 3 completely unforced turnovers to start the 2nd.

I agree he looks uncomfortable. In the last 3 halves, he's still 16 for his last 37. Not great, but not awful (43%) . And in the 6 previous games, he was 73 for 121.
I think we are spoiled.
I think itโs an energy thing. Pre All Star break, itโs the dog days.
3 whistles on Matthews in 2 possessions...
Great break- thatโs how you get Giannis out in the open.
Good end to the quarter. Up 15.
A lot to work on though. 10-16 from the line - Giannis 4 for 8.

Well, you got your 67...
This will be a good test to start the 3rd. Need to put teams away in the 3rd
Bucks turned the ball over 7 times v 1 for Phoenix and the Bucks got called for a lot of ticky tack calls. Yet up 15 at the half despite not playing a very good first half.
Matthews with an awful game today
Really frustrating sequence. Bucks go up 17 and then Matthews misses a wide open 3 and then doesn't pick up Oubre for some reason and immediately gives up a wide open 3.
A potential 20 point lead now down to 14. And then the Suns cut it to 11,
No idea how Booker did not make the ASG
I just don't get this all-white unit.
Bucks letting the Suns hang around a little too much.
Go up 19 and then allow them to slowly work their way back.

Barely. Least I have a shot now.
We'll see if the refs want a high scoring game or not in Miami.
Bucks up by 11. C'mon Bucks. Don't blow this.
There's the Bucks we know & Love. Stretched it 20 in a blink!

He's not been good for most of the season on offense. He has a PER (Player Efficiency Rating) that ranks among the worst of any starter in the league. 15.0 in the PER of an average player. Here's the Bucks rankings this season.
The caveat is that PER severely undervalues defense, but it's a decent offensive metric.
Giannis 32.6 (Ranks as one of the highest all-time)
Middleton 22.1, Bledsoe 19.6, Hill 18.3, Ilyasova 17.3, DDV 15.0, Thanasis 13.8, Brook 13.7, Robin 11.9, Korver 11.1, Connaughton 11.0, S. Brown 9.8, Bender 8.6, Matthews 8.5, Wilson 7.9, F. Mason 6.1

Just horrible fucking officiating in this quarter
Lopez has nine blocks today.

Refs stop paying attention half the time in these blowouts.
The game after lighting up the Bucks from 3, the Nuggets lose to the Pistons in OT and go 10 for for 32 from deep (31%0.
Giannis with the 30-19-9 line... and he struggled some in this game and missed 7 FTs.
The only Bucks playing at their high level is Middleton, Bledsoe, and Divincenzo.
The last two games a lot of us (including me) have felt Giannis hasn't played that well.
30-19-9 in 31 minutes today. 10 for 21 from the floor, 9 for 16 from the line, 1 for 5 from deep
31-16-9 in 32 minutes on Friday. 11 for 27 from the floor, 8 for 12 from the line, 1 for 5 from deep.
He's played poorly by his standards and almost put up a 30-20-10 triple double today.
Music City posted:Giannis with the 30-19-9 line... and he struggled some in this game and missed 7 FTs.
If he gets hot in a playoff game where he may play 40 minutes, he could put up Chamberlain like numbers. I could easily see a 50-25-10 type of game for him.
Was at the game today
Giannis gave them some energy and attitude in the 3Q but it was the back to back to back 3s by Pat C and DDV that put them up by 20 and basically sealed the game
Phoenix gave them a fight thatโs for sure. Booker is a nightmare to guard and Ayton was pretty disruptive at times. The Suns featured a big lineup most of the game which isnโt something you see much in the NBA but it still didnโt matter
Sometimes they take their foot off the gas but holy shit there were some bad calls on DDV and Wes and Ersan. Thatโs one way to keep it close nexuses had they let them play Bucks win by 40.
