Holiday and G. Hill are supposed to both be out.

I don't understand how Holiday can go from playing in several games in a row, go on the COVID list with no mention of any other injury, and then miss several games after sitting out for health and safety protocols because of an ankle injury.

That means we get to look forward to Steph Curry going for about 50.

Two comments.

1. The Bucks have won only two of their last 6 games. They played the Pistons, Raptors, Nets, Hornets, Hornets, and Warriors. The two wins were blowouts against teams with 2 of the top 3 records in the league. I know they were missing some guys for some games, but the Bucks are now a team that has a "playoff mode" and a "regular season" mode. The next interesting game will be the Bulls matchup coming up.

2. Wes Matthews might be the most important in-season pickup for any team this year. He's basically PJ Tucker. He's a tremendous defensive player that can guard guys from the 1 to the 4. He guarded Durant and Curry in the last week.

And that’s why the so called experts complaining about or downplaying the Bucks as real contenders are making a big mistake.

When this team is focused and motivated and has their key pieces in place they are really tough to beat.  A big reason is they are the rare team that can run you out the gym offensively, lock you down and frustrate you defensively, pound you on the glass and throw multiple looks and players at you.

The “3 best teams in the league” (Nets, Suns, Warriors) have nobody that can defend Giannis.  Phoenix can at least hold the line, but unless Booker and Paul go crazy they can’t beat this squad multiple times.  That’s the kicker come playoff time.  You might be able to have a hot night shooting or catch the Bucks napping for a game or even two games, but four times out of seven?   Not likely.
