Not sure how they are doing it but these guys are playing very well against some very good teams.  What a fun bunch to watch.

I think they really like each other, JMHO.  Not like the Packers.  Ugh......

Not sure how officiating can be so different each half. 5 total fouls first half. 5 fouls in first 4 minutes of 2nd half and both teams in double bonus. The Badgers kept battling and got the win.

Marquette shut down Essegian in the 1st half. He started hitting shots in the 2nd half. Bucky needs him to get hot, shooting the ball. The kid is a shooter. Klesmit had his best game of the season, so far. He was making shots and playing defense with intensity.  Everybody on this team needs to work on their FTs! This team is fun to watch. That team bonding vacation they took to France is paying off, on the court.

I think both teams should be decent this year, but this game also showed some possible flaws with them each.

I don’t know that UW has enough athletic wings and pure shooters and scorers if they get into a game when the other team is hitting shots and they can’t control tempo.

For Marquette, they are not the biggest nor the most physical team so if they play a team like Wisconsin that can defend and rebound and play a more methodical half court style of game they will have some problems.

Still, I think both teams will be competitive and should make the tourney.  Essegian is a good looking player not unlike Kam Jones for Marquette, albeit their games are a bit different.  Each team needs a 2nd or 3rd scoring option if someone’s off and it appears that this year both teams can go 1-2-3 in that regard (ie 15+ PPG).

Now they just need UWGB to get better lol.  Might be a while as they are awful.

B K is hurt. You didn't mention UW_M.  At one time the Panthers were really good, when Bo Ryan, Bruce Pearl and Rob Jeter went  300 -  235  with 4 conference championships and 4 NCAA trips.   This was from 1999 to 2016.
