Badgers getting embarrassed right now. Down 43-28 and missed 3 wide open layups and missed 3 FTs in a row. Defense has been awful. Bucky may give up 80 tonight against an average at best Gopher team.

Obviously the easiest way to get a waiver, so a smart move by King, but has to have an effect on the team when this kind of thing happens
I know #Badgers fans are watching Minnesota handle UW but I've been busy on another story. UW officials were able to confirm Sunday an allegation (Kobe King) had been made that a UW staff member used a racial epithet. https://t.co/QPhbpTfxrz

What a disaster
Not easy to win at Minnesota but itβs more of the same. Play just good enough to stay on the radar but not good enough to really made a difference.
i hope the KK story isnβt true. Thatβs not a good look or development at all.
Regressing to the mean...

Who knows on the Kobe King thing, but as somebody predicted last week every kid that transfers is going to try to claim that there was some sort of traumatic event involved so they can play immediately elsewhere. Doesn't mean it's not true, but I would guess there are some mean things said to every college player in the country by coaches.
Which is why they should just allow players to transfer without sitting out a year. Just like "regular" students can. And any Student Athlete that doesn't play football, baseball, Mens Hockey, or Basketball can. And Coaches can. And ADs can. And anyone associated with the school can.
Thereβs a difference between being mean or tough and someone associated with the program dropping an N bomb directed at him (allegedly).
So it looks like Helland used a racially sensitive word, but it may or may not have been directed at King. It may have been used in a story or conversation, as usual context means everything. Let's wait and see if Helland dropped a N bomb directly at King or if it was just mentioned in conversation. I can see where if King thought the word was directly intended for him, he would walk.

Nobody has talked about when Sam Okey left Wisconsin. Nobody blamed Dick Bennett for Okey walking. Why are people now blaming Gard because King walked?
My dislike for Gard had little to nothing to do with the King incident; heβs just not delivered very impressive results. But the try hard crowd will certainly pull for him because thatβs like what he does well.
