Badgers winning the turnover battle 3-1. Canβt ask for more than that. Although, the UW muffed punt was a killer.
Miller Moss can throw it. Quick release and good touch. Heβs toying with Wisconsin right now.

Dagger.
At least USA can win the Presidentβs Cup AGAINβ¦β¦. USA, USA, USA. *fingers crossed*. πΊπΈ πΊπΈ πΊπΈ
Wohler whiffs on the tackle. TD Trojans. That 34-17 prediction might not be that far off now.
Assuming Miller Moss isnβt hurt they are likely going to score another TD.
Imagine what this score would be if we werenβt +2 in turnovers and USC didnβt have numerous drops. This defense sucks.
The sad reality is the Badgers just arenβt that talented. Whatβs a bit surprising is how bad the secondary has been. That was supposed to be the strength of this D.
as Mark Tauscher put it, Our performance in the second half has been abysmal.
Complete collapse, starting with the fumbled punt.
No one has ever answered my question of, why are DBβs ALWAYS SHORT?? WRβs are always taller than the DBβs. What, they can run faster?? What I have never understood why that is. Just curious.
Badgers punting away on 4th and 6
USC qb Miller Moss is in the tent being evaluated for a potential concussion.
Just over 7 minutes left in the game and down 2 scores and Bucky decides to punt on 4th down. Our D is gassed.
Sweet
PICK 6 off a deflection. There's your dagger! 27 unanswered points for USC.
yep, that might do it.
Terrible pass
LMFAO
pick 6
Yet another terrible throw and poor effort from the receiver.
This is not a good team folks
Gameβs not over yet. Maybe USC gets another score.
Vinny Anthony, with a nice return, to the USC 18.
Start Mettauer next week. Iβve seen enough of Locke. Makes one or two brilliant plays and canβt complete the easy throws.
Can Vinny Anthony play QB?
Going for it on 4th down. WR cannot get to the line to gain. USC ball.
Almost another pick by Locke
Terrible clock management, terrible penalties , bad play called on 4th downβ¦what a minute.
It looks as if on every passing play the Badgers have, a USC defender is almost able to knock down the ball or get an INT, just by putting his hands up!
USC 38, Badgers 21. That's a wrap, folks!
By Dave Heller
Final stats:
3rd downs: UW 2-10, USC 11-17 (wow the disparity)
4th downs: UW 0-2, USC 2-2
Time: UW 22:36, USC 44:56
Itβs hard to imagine the Luke Fickell era could start any worse. Heβs basically a .500 coach but whatβs troubling is literally nothing has improved since he arrived.
We know this team isnβt very talented, but there were more mistakes and penalties and bad play calls. At what point is this coaching staff on notice?

If the Trojans don't have the turnovers in the first half, this game is more like 41-14 or worse.
The Badgers might have to win their next 3 to have a chance to be bowl eligible. That's a pretty low bar, but they are 2-2 (there's no shame in losing to Alabama and USC, but they were thoroughly outclassed in both games). They have games left against Penn State, Oregon, and at Nebraska that are likely losses. They also play at Iowa. If they don't win that, you are already looking at 6 losses.
The next three are Purdue at home, at Rutgers, and at Northwestern. If they don't win at least 2 of those this season could get brutal fast.
Itβs the coach.......really, a Badger coach named Fickel?? Really?? Get rid of him. Ugh. Or is it just me?? Get another guy.
At this point, Indiana, Illinois, Nebraska and Rutgers are all better than Wisconsin. Thatβs embarrassing.
They should beat Purdue and Northwestern but literally every other game could be a loss. Minnesota is probably a toss up but games at Rutgers and at Nebraska wonβt be a cakewalk.
Oregon and Penn State will look like today and thereβs a real chance the games at Iowa and Nebraska could be ugly.
After a 4 win season this year, who will be the coach next year?
Bama donβt need no Saban
and how fat is Bielma?? Wow, heβs pretty damn chubby eh?? Wow.
Interesting stats
Badgers have lost 13 of their last 15 games against ranked opponents. Fickell is 0-4.
Badgers had 286 yards of offense. USC had nearly 500.
@MichiganPacker2 posted:What a dumb offensive call on that 4th down. That's not Wisconsin football. Shotgun on 4th and half a yard and deep run. Get under center and either sneak it or run it out of the I formation. Fickell trying to show he's creative?
That has always been the biggest weakness of this pistol/RPO offenses. The hand off is so slow that the defense is reading what you are doing not the other way around. Get under center and have the QB fall forward or use the push play for gods sake. Iget it that is isn't the UW football we have been used to for 30 years but that playcall was one of the worst I have ever seen.
Even after what I initially posted that this could possibly be an upset I kind of thought this is how this one would end up. Well hopefully they can improve from this and possibly beat Purdue.

I think they will still have next year for sure to see how well Fickells higher ranked recruiting classes play. After that if they keep falling flat the seat could get hot.
I tend to think that he is making progress on the field. Playing programs like Bama and USC is a tough thing but UW for the early part of the Bama game competed and they had USC dead to rights but choked it away.
Its hard as fans to be patient but we may have to for a little while longer.
I was totally in support of Fickell and realistically itβs too early to shitcan him. But Iβm not really a fan of either Longo or Tressel as coordinators.
It seems to me that Longo is really only successful when he has elite talent on offense, including a really good QB. The Badgers have none of that.
As for Tressel, he strikes me as a Dom Capers type - overly complicated and schematic instead of just playing to the strengths of the roster.
