Nebraska cuts the lead to 33-23 but Petteway picks up 3, yes 3 fouls in less than a minute and leaves the game. Badgers promptly score 5 straight to go up 38-23.
Come on Badgers.
Gutted out a 65-55 win. Huskers cut it to 5 but Bucky does pretty good with free throws down the stretch.
Goldie, you've gotta R-E-L-A-X!!!
Next up, Illinois at Madison on Sunday, noon start.
Neraska will get better with Petteway gone.
any win is a good win, especially on the road, this one was a bit ugly. Sam is really taking charge, he does seem to be banged up a little.
Altho they played thru it the had quite a prob at the end getting the ball inbound and playing against the press, need to get that fixed.
Ugly, but a good learning experience for the lads.
Petteway is a brainless chucker. He sucks the life out of that team with his antics.
Every conference road game is a tough one, even against mediocre teams. 22-2 and a nice cushion in the standings.
I'm a bit concerned about whatever is bothering Dekker, though. They're going to need all hands on deck and healthy come March.
Has Dekker ever played better than he is currently playing. He looks so assertive. It's like he finally gets it.
I was surprised that he matched his career high in points last night with just 21.

I was surprised at that also. I went and looked it up.
His career high for shot attempts is 16. He's played 97 games and averaged about 25 minutes a game over his career and has never played less than double digit minutes in any game. He's taken 9 or less shots in 62 of those games. He's taken 9 or less shots in 11 of the 24 games this year. How many other future NBA small forwards who shoot 54% from the field would not complain about having such limited opportunities? If he had the green light like Petteway, he'd average 20 shots a game and probably average 25 points.
The kid deserves a lot of credit for his attitude.
How did Petteway not get ejected after he was called for an offensive foul. There was contact with the referee. Nebraska's coach sure was doing a lot of whining too.
I thought his 4th foul was worse than the offensive foul. The ref was standing less than 3 feet away with his hands out and Petteway tossed the ball the other way. Should have been Teed and out of the game right then and there.
