Bud always showed great appreciation for the fans.
He was acutally fined $250K for giving the finger to Bills fans back in 2009. 
He supposedly was the only reason why the franchise in Houston wasn't able to call themselves the "Oilers". Maybe we will no longer have to suffer the existence of a team called the "Texans" and their dumb logo now that he's gone. Definitely one of the worst owners in professional sports, and a terrible person in general.

Remember when Bud sided with Vince Young and jammed Fisher under the greyhound? Or when he openly stalked Manning and essentially let it be known he'd fire the entire front office if they didn't deliver Manning to his doorstep? Bud Adams was a genuine madman.

HOUSTON – Tennessee Titans’ owner Bud Adams released a statement Saturday afternoon concerning the passing of former Houston Oilers coach Bum Phillips.
Phillips died Friday night at the age of 90 at his home on Goliad.
“He meant a great deal to this franchise, the NFL and the city of Houston, and he was instrumental to the Oilers during the Luv Ya Blue era,” Adams said. “Growing up in Texas and working his way up through the Texas football ranks, he was a natural match for our team. Those were such magical years, and his leadership and personality helped our team rise to the top.”
