Connaughton and Crowder out tonight. LaVine still out for the Bulls. Caruso is questionable.
Let's see if Adrian Griffin looks more like a head coach tonight.

Bucks open up looking good, up 21-9. They sit Giannis, and the Bulls immediately go on a 10-0 run.
Bucks up 37-32 after one. Portis definitely fired up
Bucks up 74-65 at the half. Bulls are missing LaVine and Caruso. Bucks wing defenders still can't guard anyone. Derozan and Coby White combine for 41 points on 14 for 22 from the floor.
Bucks come out in the second half and throw the ball away several times in the first 3 minutes. Bulls back within 3.
Bulls now within 2. Derozan and White have 52 points.
If the Bucks lose this one, the rumblings around Griffin will start to get louder.
Only up 2 going to the 4th.
Lillard playing awful again
Just checked in on the game. Giannis has 5 FG attempts through 3 quarters?
They need to fire Adrian Griffin. This guy has no idea what he’s doing.
Bucks tied. I think the Bucks defense could be just as good if they just had 5 guys meet for the first time in a pickup game at the rec center and played it by ear.
Coby White has been on fire all night and the Bucks just let him shoot an uncontested 3 point shot to tie it.

If they lose tonight, the whispers will get a little louder. He's lucky AJ Green has been playing out of his mind. Without him hitting his first 4 threes, they'd be behind

I think Lillard is probably thinking to himself - "I was expecting to go to the Heat and be coached by Spoelstra, and instead get shipped here and have to listen to this idiot - who ran off my long-time head coach (Stotts) who was supposed to install the offense."
Why would an org spend such a wild amount of money on players and cheap out on a guy who doesn’t know how to coach? At least the Brewers are consistently cheap.
Lillard is 2 for 14 with multiple turnovers and turnstile defense. He's playing like a guy trying to get his head coach fired.

And then Lillard misses a FT up 2 with 9 seconds left.
Lopez, Giannis and Khris all split FTs in crunch time to keep the Bulls in it.
Bucks hang on in OT. Overcome a Dame Lillard all-time poor performance. 3 for 17 from the floor.

Giannis wanted him. He also basically asked for them to shake up the team right before they pulled off the Holiday-Lillard trade. He was right about Holiday - as good as Jrue is, his deficiencies on offense were too much to overcome when you get to the playoffs. Lillard might not get them further, but at least they aren't trying the same thing again.
As for Griffin, I don't think he's a terrible coach (although I admittedly complain during the game threads). He's a guy that would have been better off getting his first head coaching job with a young team that would allow him time to develop his own schemes and management in an environment that is not win-now. If the Bucks don't at least make the conference finals the season is a failure (and may be considered a failure if they don't win a title).

Giannis Antetokounmpo met with Griffin during the interview process and vouched for him to become the franchise’s next coach, according to Chris Haynesof Bleacher Report. In fact, Antetokounmpo met with each finalist in his home on Tuesday before Milwaukee came to its decision. After each candidate spoke with the front office for one last time on Wednesday, Antetokounmpo and fellow Bucks star Khris Middleton were invited to dinner with general manager Jon Horst and the ownership team to discuss the finalists, a list that included Griffin, former Raptors head coach Nick Nurse and Warriors assistant Kenny Atkinson.
I watched this after the Packer debacle on MNF.
I don't know if Lillard just had an off night or it's a combination of poor coaching & playing to opponents level with opponent playing over their heads...
I know this much....the Bucks are 16-7. They are basically winning games by sheer will right now. Something has to change with the coaching or they're going to get beat in the playoffs playing like this.
If this team stays healthy and puts it all together by April, they are not losing to anyone....and the best part....everyone in the NBA knows it.
Bottom line.....figure it out coach or the train will pass you by.
P.S. I wanted Kenny Atkinson
