The Instant-Replay is becoming a nightmare trying to determine "a fumble" or "a catch". The NFL is trying to make an imperfect game, perfect. All these nit-pick rules to figure out what is or what ain't.
I like I-R, but the league is using it to the "enth" degree and it is diluting the game with too much red-tape.
I agree GBP1. What a stupid sequence. The guy took 4 steps after catching the ball, how many steps does a guy need to take these days?
The Bengals almost got hosed there. It was clearly a catch and they spiked the ball before they even reviewed it. Then they set the clock at 2 seconds and had it running. The reasoning was that, in theory, the clock was running when they signaled for the replay booth review.
I'm actually shocked Nitwit didn't rule it incomplete.

I just remembered what a bunch of thugs have been through Cincy in the past several years---Go Chargers.
An argument could be made that both games yesterday were upsets. Same for today's early game. Maybe the Bolts hang on, and the Packers make it 4 for 4.
