Vontaze is alive and well.  Stupid play by 58. Well out of bounds.

Dumbass statement. Put a hand on Mahomes and he flopped. If it was anyone else or the NFLFU didn't want a certain outcome flag probably stays in the pocket

The NFL is at a high for TV viewership, attendance, income, merchandise sale. The SB tickets, advertising,TV deal, are already sold .... no matter who is in the SB. You really think the NFL is going to risk all of that by purposely try to manipulate the outcome of games? Come on people, use some common sense.

I have no problem with last call,  stupid play by 58. Lots of other questionable calls, and even spots, went in Chief's favor.

Man some of those spots were just brutally bad.  I swear that the NFL had NBA refs disguised as NFL officials last night.

It really doesn't matter if it was a cheesy call, the correct one, a terrible call, whatever...
A player can NOT put himself in a position to bring the refs in on/after the play.
It's just stupid.

You do know a lot of these guys running around on the field on defense needed a tutor to pass basket weaving in college don't you?

The Mahomes hate is strong on this board. Probably because he gets all the attention Rodgers gets. Even last year when he played like garbage, the announcers were all over Rodgers’ nuts. Carry on! 😊

NFLFU will control the game if the game is close where they can control it.

Expand on this please. Is there a war room for this activity? Is there encrypted communication from said war room to the refs on the field? How many people are involved in this activity? How many people have known of this and for how many years? If dozens and possibly hundreds of people are aware that the NFL does this, why hasn’t a single disgruntled employee blown the whistle?

Media was also happy to bag on Mahomes in the first half of 2021 when so many fans thought the league had figured him out.  He has a shorter track record of excellence than AR but there is no doubt that with AR and Brady near the end, he is positioned to take Brady's media mantle.

Can’t wait for the Andy Reid and Pat Mahomes slurp fest the next couple of weeks.

It’s funny how the tables have turned or could have turned.   Reid was a stooge that couldn’t get it done in the playoffs and now he’s the example of what good coaching looks like.  Mahomes loses that game yesterday and all of sudden his legacy is tarnished being 0-4 to Burrow.

The Ossai play shouldn’t have happened but at home the refs will likely call that 80%+ of the time.  My issue was the several bad calls or non calls prior to that in the second half.   They certainly kept KC in the game.

The sad thing is that this was a good, competitive game that will be watered down because of the officiating and the fact people are talking about it.  More and more the NFL is allowing replays and play stoppages and officials to have a bigger influence on the quality and outcome of the game.  Let these guys play already.

Why aren't you complaining about the missed call the ref made on the Higgins pass reception at the K C 5 yard line?  The ball hit the ground yet it was called complete. I guess our eyes see what they want to see, not what really happened.

And why are the refs more involved?   Because fans and owners want more accountability because of the new technology with slow motion replays, clearer camera views and multiple angles. When their team gets a call this great, when  a call goes against their team the refs suck no matter what the replay shows.

He and Burroughs. They are both so good.

This game left a bad taste in my mouth mainly because the refs inserted themselves too much into the game.  Just makes it hard to watch.

However, the Bengals reminded me WAY too much of the Packers at the end.  Chance for offense to make a game winning drive - 3 and out.  Special teams chokes and gives up huge return.  Defensive player makes bone-headed play to put Chiefs into field goal range.  Very Packer-esque.

Good view of the late hit. Ossai inadvertently tripped Mahomes making the hit appear a lot worse than it was. Doubt they make the call without it.

This view is interesting because I don't see how Ossai could avoid some sort of interaction with Mahomes given the angle Ossai came after him. If Ossai tries to turn off (tough to do at 265 lbs at full speed), he's probably going to clip Mahomes' leg, Mahomes ends up on the ground anyway, and Ossai ends up hard into the bench. If Ossai keeps running after Mahomes without putting his arm up, Ossai's going to pile into him anyway, which is what he probably should have done. When Ossai placed his hand on Mahomes and stretched out his arm with the little shove, it sealed the flag.

LMAO at his teammate on the sideline, going from applauding his play to "WTF?"

I saw that too.  That was hilarious.

I feel for the guy.  They showed him on the bench several times before the FG and no one was anywhere near him, no one came over to have his back.  It was crunch time, final play to win or lose (before FG), QB takes off to the sideline, he was the only guy in position to chase him out.  Tough time for a stupid move but he wasn't the only guy on the field.

ammo probably still thinks only NBA refs suck

Your reading comprehension is as bad as most of your sports takes. What I said was Labron committed a foul like that numerous times and was never called for it because he is Labron.   But now the shoe is on the other foot he whines like a baby. I never commented on the NBA refs at all or whether it was a right or rong call.  And if you don't believe go back to the Bucks Forum and read it again.

They showed the official from deep left side of the defense coming in to blow that play dead. I think the explanation was that the clock operator was supposed to start the play clock and not the game clock but they started both, he saw it and blew the play dead before it started. Mahomes was sacked on the next play so it had no effect on the game. in fact Cinncy gained about 7-8 yards in field position.

But wasn’t defensive holding called on the sack plat, giving KC a first down. So, it did hurt Cinncy.

KC did only gain 6 yards following the redo and used about a minute of clock.

Not a lot, but who knows.

What game were you watching? They failed on the 3rd down play. had the punt team on the field, got a do over and got a first down due to a defensive holding call.

I stand corrected, the sack was nullified by a defensive holding call ....the Chiefs then went 3 and out and punted....still no bearing on the game.
