Whatcha got in the first round at 30.  Trading up or down is against the rules. Winner gets a free year subscription to X4.

I had plans to go with Ezra Cleveland at 30 but I think he's going to come off the board before that.

I got Zach Baun at 30.  He can play inside and can also help outside if needed.  He's Gute's gift to the Badger faithful after GB completely f'ed up the TJ Watt thing.

Packers trade up to 20 if Jefferson is available. They take Josh Jones at 30 if he’s available. They trade back to 33-34 round 2 and take Reagor. I like Reagor at the top of round 2 with extra picks.

And while we are calling our shots, I suggest a rule change.  Down a shot of your choosing if you get the pick correct, but suffer a shot of Malört if you are wrong.
Any substitutions must have consensus board approval.

Why would GB pick a Running Back? In the first round?

he's sub 4.4, he's productive, he's won against big competition.  we need rb's, he takes pressure off AR...there's about 100 more.  biggest thing for me is the homerun threat.  when 33 became a star, it opened up possibilities, for me, it was extremely lucky that either back wasn't gone for too long, that may never happen again...30 is practically the second round, so to take the 'best of the best at a position' is the best way at this spot.

There's been talk on other pages (Packers Wire and NFL network) that the Packers are interested in moving up in the 1st Round. They say Gute has been calling teams looking for a move up. Could get interesting, tonight. If true, I hope Gute moves us somewhere ahead of the vikings and the Ravens. I think Gute makes a move to get Jefferson or Murray.

Some facts about Love before the draft, since he went to the high school I teach at.

—was 5-6 as a freshman 6-2 when he left.

—guy I play softball with had a son who shared starting QB with him on the JV team when they were sophomores. The coaches converted my friends son to RB and DB as they were both solid. He got tired of waking up Saturday morning feeling like he’d been in a car accident so he didn’t go on to college ball. Love graduated in December skipping basketball season (he was a beast there too) so he could go play spring ball at Utah State.

—started junior and senior year on varsity and he basically looked like Patrick Mahomes out there. One year they won a valley championship.

—his dad killed himself freshmAn year. Head varsity football coach, an excellent man, has been like a surrogate father to him.

—while in college he completely changed his diet and workout program to the point when he came back we didn’t recognize him. He knew he had to up his game to play in the NFLand was gonna work to get there. Loves the game.

Thinking the pick will trade down.

Also see a trade UP with those (3) picks in the 6th round. Might trade 2 of them for an extra 4th or high 5th.

OT or DL will be #30 if they stay put

As hard as I'm trying to push myself to get up for this draft. I feel like Clooney and Walberg in the wheelhouse at the end of Perfect Storm when the sun comes out for a minute. But fuck we all needed the next 3 days.

I think Gutters waits through the first 15-20 and if his guy is gone, he'll get on the phone right away and trade back. If his guy is still there, he'll get serious about trading up. He may be calling teams now to grease the wheels if the time comes...

Reading what some of the anonymous scouts say, they claim all the draft prognosticators have really missed on this draft, and it will not go anything like people think. It may be smoke, but usually, scouts say, "Wait and see."

I do believe he is Packer People and has a focus that is very AR like. He will work as hard as Rodgers did to achieve. Has leadership skills, but not in a vocal rah-rah way. I never had him in a class, just knew of him from other people and around school. Always a respectful guy. Doesn't surprise me to see him as a first round pick. Derek Carr played for the school just south of us, a Christian school, and I always thought he'd be something, especially when he was lighting it up at Fresno State.
