GB takes all their draft capital and trade up into the top 3 where they take a QB!

Seriously though,  I think they stay at 13 and pick Jaxon Smith-Njigba then address TE in the second round (or use their 2 second round picks to trade up into the first round a pick a TE).

Even as a kid I thought it was weird that the head of the Highway Patrol was able to be at every road block, every shoot out and called all the shots in every case in the whole state.

He specialized in peeling rubber every time he drove!

I watched that entire thing 😆

Not picking a player but rather a position.

Sit at #13, CB / OT / EDGE

Trade down lots of options!

WR / TE / DL / CB / OL

That's the guess and I'm sticking with it. 🙂

Someone who has done the research needs to post why JSN isn't a fit for the Packers.

Here's the "research" I read about:

McVay, Shanahan, MLF all come from the same offensive background and they all rely on similar principles. The differences are mainly in their use of personnel packages - with McVay leaning heavily into 11 personnel and Shanahan leaning into 12 and 21 personnel with more RBs/ TEs.

( McVay was league leader in 11 personnel, Shanahan was leader in 12/21)

MLF offense sits somewhere in between those two extremes.

But what do they ALL have in common ? They all use a Big Slot WR

Kupp, Lazard, Deebo Samuel.

And the reason they do this is to support the run game and to kick the ass of the slot corner. They also like the MM mantra of Big Men running down the middle of the field because they can't be pushed around and re-routed like the smaller WRs can be

JSN is not a plus blocker, he's not a sizable WR, he can't reliably beat NFL corners on the perimeter. So why would you spend a premium pick on a WR who doesn't fit your scheme ? He's not really a home run threat

You don't need to invest pick 13 in the slot role, Packers used UDFA Lazard with great success. JSN will be a very good NFL WR, he just isn't a great value for the MLF Packers at 13. If you're spending that pick, you want more than a slot-only WR.  You should be getting a guy who can win outside too.

Jonathan Mingo on the other hand is a Big Slot who can handle the dirty work and fits the MLF offense much better. You can snag him later in Rd 2 or Rd 3.

I think they also preference blocking ability at the TE position as well, which is why when I see mocks having us take Kinkaid I don't know what they're thinking because he can't block.  Best blocking TE is probably Darnell Washington, who we can get in the 2nd, so I don't see us taking a TE in the 1st either.

I am so praying the Packers take JSN now…I would tattoo Sartori’s latest tome on my forehead….or on my ass, there’s room next to my wife’s name.

Gute trades back out of 13 and picks up another 2nd rounder.

Mid 20s 1st round is Flowers.

TE, EDGE, OT with the 3 2nd rounders.

Kincaid or Washington

K.White or Foskey

Mauch or Bergeron

I know things.

That would be my preferred course of action, unless there is a compelling player there at 13 when the time comes. I wouldn't take Flowers in the 1st, though. It would have to be an Edge, OL, TE, or DB for me.

Gute is going to trade down for a 1st next year. That would give him 3 no 1s next year (considering aR plays 11 games for the Jets). 2024 is the get well year with draft and free agents. It Jordan sucks then he has the draft capital to move up and get the top QB coming out if he wants. If Jordan plays great then even better, he can see what is needed and fix accordingly. Hopefully that includes a new DC.

I disagree. Love needs help, now. Don't wait until next year.

Why Malort when you could just do a Jersey Turnpike for free.

Love would have to suck hard and consistently for Gute to burn whatever draft capital he'd garner to spend on another QB.  If Love struggles, it won't be enough to warrant RD1 QB in 2024.  He'll have ups and downs but the evidence after his first year of starting will be probably be inconclusive.

13: Bijan Robinson

42 best Receiver available

45 best Tightend available

78: best OL/DL available

116: same as above or safety

with the rest of the picks who knows, but hopefully find a replacement for Mason.

Well here goes. I would love to get Washington this draft but 13 is a bit too early. So at 13 I would like either "Dijon" Robinson or Jaxon Smith-"Ninja". We really need a good back-up rb if Dillon or Jones go down for a while.  JSN is not a true replacement for Lazard blocking wise but would be a good slot. Enter Washington! I also could live with Jalen Carter to finally have someone to free-up Kenny Clark and make the "D" better than ever. We could then PU a TE in the second,if Washington is gone then Kincaid maybe. If Mauch is still available snatch him up as well. Re-sign Amos , Crosby or a kicker in the 6th or 7th.   Subject to change my mind. Stay tuned.
