I think the first 6 picks are in along with Bradley. St Brown is either or. Lancaster and Light have a shot as UDFA. Donnerson, Scantling, Rader and Hughes might make PS.

Going to be fun watching Boyle in the pre-season.

It needs to be a quatrain I believe.

Secondary protectors tout.

Fast in the middle and the edge.

Tall and swift, wide open route.

Players leap on row 1 ledge.

Since no one really knew what Nosty was talking about, what I'm saying is the DB's, ILB and young receivers will make an impact.

Top 6 plus LS Bradley and ESB. Looney and Donnerson to PS, unless they are total screw ups in camp.  Of the UDFAs,  Boyle makes PS. I don't know enough about the others to say where they will end up. It all depends on what they show at camp, etc., as usual.

No idea whatsoever. About the only guarantee is at least one player will come out of nowhere to impress and at least one will disappoint. Will be interesting to see if Gutekunst is quicker to pull the plug on his picks than TT was.

Bill & Rookie on the radio were discussing the success of draft picks stats this morning.  Don't know where Bill was getting his numbers but 2/3 of draft picks don't cut/make it.  only about 10% are adequate with about 10% being above avg.  it's a crapshoot.

Locks:

Round 1, Pick 18: CB Jaire Alexander, Louisville

Round 2, Pick 45: CB Josh Jackson, Iowa

Round 3, Pick 88: LB Oren Burks, Vanderbilt

Round 5, Pick 138: OT Cole Madison, Washington State

Round 5, Pick 172: P JK Scott, Alabama

Round 7, Pick 239: LS Hunter Bradley, Mississippi State

Probably will make it:

Round 4, Pick 133: WR J'Mon Moore, Missouri

50/50:

Round 5, Pick 174: WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling, South Florida

Round 6, Pick 207: WR Equanimeous St. Brown, Notre Dame

DL Tyler Lancaster, Northwestern

Stashed on IR or possible for the PS:

Round 7, Pick 232: DL James Looney, Cal

Round 7, Pick 248: EDGE Kendall Donnerson, SE Missouri State

OL Alex Light, Richmond

C Austin Davis, Duke (via Tom Silverstein of Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel)

DB Chris Seisay, Oregon (via NFL Draft Diamonds)

Probably won't make it.

Tim Boyle

Not saying Boyle will make the team - Might just keep 2 QB's & stash Boyle on PS. I can't see Hundley keeping his job unless he all of a sudden turns into Nick Foles.

0 TD passes in Lambeau.....Effing ZERO!! Had 1 decent game vs. the Browns & 1 OK game vs. the Steelers. Some dude once told me - "Nice guy but his tape is his resume"

Agree with this from Grave Digger - Only mildly iffy is the Punter but Vogel has his work cut out for him, no doubt.

I know some UDFA or 2 will make it, they always do but I'm not guessing.

Good question. Prior to the draft, he used the same “no job is safe” rhetoric most GM’s use. Should be interesting to see if he follows through now that his name is on the picks. My feeling is it is easier said than done.

As far as the rookie WRs, they all have his name on them and should all have an equal shot. It’s going to be about which ones pick up the system quickest and who can compete against NFL caliber DB’s.

With that in mind, I don’t see how Moore could be predicted to make it over the other 2 at this point. That’s falling smack dab into the draft status fallacy that a 4th round pick is automatically at an advantage over a 5th or 6th. Gute is already on record saying that isn’t true. Also 4 isn’t that much higher than 5 and 6 to make that assumption, IMO.

Double post: Having said all that, I’m calling out my own post to say: everyone is entitled to their prediction, even now.

From my angle, ESB runs the best routes and makes the 53 as the #5, with Moore as the #6 and Scantling to the PS.

Pretty sure that makes the new punter a lock.

If St. Brown wants to play he will make it.  If he thinks the NFL is no different than college he won't.

When I mentioned this before it didn’t get much response, will throw it out again......reminds me of the chubby running back, Eddie Lacy.  Wasn’t his dedication to football questioned at one time??

Packers waive incumbent punter after drafting one

When a move is #asexpected, it’s best to make it quickly.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Packers have waived punter Justin Vogel.

It’s not a surprise, after they used a fifth-round pick on punter J.K. Scott last weekend.

Since Vogel’s a second-year player, he’s still inexpensive, so he might be claimed off waivers by another team. He averaged 44.4 yards gross and 41.6 net last season.

Personally, I think Eddie loved football. But when football became the only way he was getting his family out of an assisted FEMA trailer I think things changed. Honestly, how can anyone blame the kid?

The hope is St Brown loves football the way Eddie loved a catering tray of sweet and sour Funyuns. I wouldn't trade the three Eddie years he gave GB though. Kid was fun to watch.
