Monday night scouting report. Go Panthers.

Gotta feel for Casey Matthews. Has been an inside LB his whole career and his big bro surpasses his entire career in one game last night.

and dish out $4 mil a year for a 31 year old oft-injured RB who'll be out of the league in less than a year?

no thanks.

The Panther defense sucks now. They ain't the defense from 2013.

Get pressure on Sanchez & the Eagle offense is done because the Eagle defense can be torched by Rodgers & co. If they execute.

Just like the Bears...Get up on them big & they have no shot.

Dirty San is the same guy with the Jets. Put no pressure on him and like most other QBs yes he'll move the ball. But the accuracy issues are still there as are the underthrows.

Oh, and Cam just sucks. As witnessed by that pick 6.

Agree that Packers offense can continue to roll against the Eagles. Defense will be stressed, pressure and tackling are key.

Sproles worries me. Counting on the Ginger Hammer and Bush to keep him in check.

NFC South is such junk

Packers will be able to score vs the Eagles defense. Unfortunately, the Eagles will score on this defense. With Sanchez at QB though, the defense should get some chances for an INT or 2 which could be the difference

I just thought back to that ugly 9-0 win vs the Jets we had in 2010. Sanchez is a stiff who has to get easy completions and have a strong running game in front of him to be useful at all. If the Packers run D can tighten up on McCoy at all then Sanchez will have a hard day.

Another key is forcing them to play from behind. Tonight Sanchez is relaxed, they're pummeling the Panthers and Chip's offense is designed to create quick, easy reads.

GB jump out to a lead, watch that sphincter tighten.

That is the attitude that keeps TT from doing much with FA. Smart move in taking the chance by the Eagles.

[Note by Brandon Lee Gowton, 03/14/14 3:48 PM EDT] - PFT reports that the new deal is worth up to $10.5 million over 3 years. For context purposes, that's the same exact contract that the Jaguars gave to former Vikings RB Toby Gerhart. No word on how much guaranteed money for Sproles.

This says $5.5 million guarantee.  http://overthecap.com/player/darren-sproles/1488

I find it fascinating that Ted is consistently called out for failing to sign the 15% of the FAs that amount to anything but nothing is ever mentioned about the 85% he ignored that end up as overpaid cap siphons.

In this case however it's moot. Philly traded draft picks for Sproles.

That blowout of the Panthers a few weeks ago does not look quite as impressive after tonight's contest.

Next Sunday should be quite a contest with 2 high-powered offenses.

PS for those minimizing Sproles contributions to the Eagles (on O and STs) did TT make a mistake signing an even older OLBer for even more $ this past offseason?

A 5th round pick I believe. Worth it to add some zest to the return game, and a little razzle-dazzle on offense.
