A pivotal series this weekend to go into the All-Star break. Have to get out of this funk and no better way than against a Division foe.

The Tuna is headed to Beertown this afternoon from DEEEEEEtroit  to take in tomorrow afternoons game.

An absolutely brutal loss, devastating.  Yesterday and today combined are just gut wrenching.  Taking Garza out yesterday, and leaving Gallardo in tonight, not Roenicke's finest moments.

Anyone think the Cardinals are stealing signs and knowing the  pitches.  4 homers?

Go get em Saturday and keep the faith Brewer fans....

Terrible.  Pitchers losing concentration and focus.

Gomez last at bat was horrible too.

Someone on this team needs to step up and be a leader.  It's like they started reading the their schedule last week and day-by-day their shirt collars have gotten tighter and tighter.

Honestly it's been an issue all year with Roenicke leaving a guy too long and they've paid for it

Losing a game after being up 6-0 is inexcusable but lately with this team is predictable.   They have no luck and no mojo and they are not doing the little things like making a key pitch or getting a clutch hit to win

The only positive is that I didn't stick around to watch the end of the game because I might have thrown the flat screen out the window

I've said it before, Molina is my least liked player in baseball.  While he is nursing his thumb, Holliday easily fills that hole.

Your first place Brewers better play well today.

But there is bigger news than baseball right now.

“There’s been a death in one of the families of one of our players so I don’t want to answer questions,” he said. “For respect of him right now, we’re not going to let anybody in the clubhouse. Sorry, but these things are tough and I just don’t want to leave any players open to anything.

“I don’t want to say who it is or anything, but we’ll get this figured out tomorrow and we can talk then.”

Best wishes whatever the situation.

It is really starting to look like this team is done.  I hope they can get to 70 wins at this pace.  I finally get to see them on TV and they just look listless.  Granted the tragedy is probably playing in to it, but they just haven't seemed into it for a while.

I just wish I could see them put it together and win a World Series.  Just one.  THen I could die happy.

Ah, yeah about That quote I had on Jimmy Nelson replacing Estrada in the 2nd half .... Scratch that. Doesn't have command throws too much meat .... Umpires at this level will make him Manny Parra-ish. Oy.
This is what is must feel like as a Vikings fan versus a Packers fan.  Vikings have had some success but usually Packers kick the crap out of them and GB has the rings and the tradition and history

That's STL folks

I hate it and can't stand them but once again it looks like we may be looking up at those guys again

This streak sucks, and I hate the Cardinals as much as the next guy, but there is half a season left.  Maybe they end the season in third place and we can talk how a dream start slipped away, but until then, Ron is fine, the season isn't over, and enjoy the damn games.

I think it's ok. It was bound to happen. But they played great ball, so they have proven they can. I still think a deadline deal for a SP should be in the works, but in the mean time, just get back to basics. I hope that Segura's ordeal doesn't take the wind out if them. Such a tragedy could have either effect on them.
IMO. SP is not the need, that'd be a luxury. Bullpen needs at least  1 good hard throwing righty. They need to quit platooning at 2nd base and get a professional hitter off the bench. Hopefully Segura comes back for the defense if nothing else. RR needs to do a better job of resting his players on a more consistent basis. The pitching/bullpen overuse falls on Dougie's idiotic idea of Wang.
Great to see them pouring it on today.  Of course the Cards continue their classy behavior by plunking several Brewers along the way in a blowout but what else is new?

Encouraged by Peralta's performance today.  He hasn't been sharp for several outings but looked very good today.

If they can't get Henderson or Thornburg back soon they need another relief guy and no that's not Wang (channeling my best Rodney voice) NO OFFENSE

Best record in the NL.

Streaking to the top of the division.

I am fine with the Sceekie platoon at second, only because they have produced.  1st base is where I am concerned.  Reynold's defense has surprised me, but both sticks suck balls.  Henderson and/or Thornburg coming back and throwing right makes a world of difference.

Stay healthy and ride this thing out.
