My expectations for 2014: Dix will start and be solid.  He'll play tentative in year 1 and thus won't make a ton of plays but also won't blow as many plays (which will be refreshing).  His biggest impact will be on Burnett, who will have a bounceback year (remember how back Collins looks next to Roman, Manuel, etc.?).

Adams will contribute 300-500 yards as the 4th WR, depending on injuries.  I expect a rookie campaign similar to Jones' and Cobbs'.  I'm excited to see how he develops b/c he looks to be a complete WR, able to run the whole route tree.

Thornton will have a year like Boyd in 2013.  Not much playing time early but will come on at the end of the year.

Rodgers will get some playing time but won't contribute much.  I'm not that excited about him.  I think this will be a redshirt year for him.

Bradford, with a lot of hype for a player that dropped, just won't be able to channel his fire into consistent on-field performance.  He'll be on special teams but won't play much, if any, on defense.  I really think his place is at ILB if he drops a few pounds.  It's just so hard to be an effective pass rusher at 6'1" with short arms.

Linsley will be a backup at C, which is nice b/c we'll actually have a legit backup here for the first time ever.  But unless he learns how to play guard, he won't be active on game days.  He won't really compete with Tretter for a starting position.

Abbrederis will make the team as the #5 WR and special teams guy.  He won't see much time on offense until he bulks up.

Goodson and Janis are practice squad guys.

Oh, and I'm expecting at least 2 of these guys to go on IR at some point, and another 3 having lingering injuries.  Sorry, just figured I'd get that out there.

Here's Pro Football Focus' look at saints Kenny Vaccaro and his rookie year playing safety

His results mirror your comments about a slower, more tentative start and a strong finish

Jordy will re-sign. Cobb will too. Watch.

I think you're right, or hope so anyway. And this offense with a running game and #12 sure seems exciting to me. Winning is the tide that floats all boats. Old Greg Jennings kinda got a taste of that. Follow the Hines Ward philosophy- don't chase bigger money, you'll regret it. Be a part of a winning organization and culture.

On this draft, they need Dix to hit. Even if Thornton hits and of the WRs hit, they need Dix to be the answer.
