From the GBPG
quote:
Plans announced by the Packers on Friday call for a "Return To Titletown" celebration from 4 to 5 p.m. Feb. 8 at Lambeau Field. Admission is $5. The event, which will not take place if the Packers lose to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Feb. 6, would also be broadcast on local television.

Also, fans would be able to watch the team's return on Feb. 7 along a route from the Austin Straubel International Airport to Lambeau Field. Regardless of the game's outcome, the team's buses will return to the stadium along Packerland Drive, Hazelwood Lane and Lombardi Avenue, but the Packers said no other public appearances are scheduled that day.

City officials are upset that there is no parade planned through downtown, but apparently it was quite the cluster-f in '97. Was anyone there?

And no, I'm not putting the cart before the horse. Just reporting what is planned.

Was in the stadium, waiting . . . Then waited some more. Then the sun went down, and the snow started blowing, and we waited more.

It was the COLDEST I have ever been in Lambeau.

The parade was delayed by the impromptu stopping of the busses along the route, with fans along the route touching the Lombardi trophy, et al. It pissed all of us in the stadium off. Then, a decision was made to shorten the "official" ceremony in the stadium because the parade took much longer than expected and it was brutally cold with a wicked wind chill.

Oh, the memories . . .
Lambeau Field now with the atrium, club levels and so much more room makes a lot more sense to do it there vs cramming 60K plus onto the streets and trying to see/hear players TT MM etc if they indeed win it all on Sunday.

I don't have any issue with them not doing a parade. It's a hell of a lot easier IMO to do it at Lambeau.

Please re-read:

In my completely biased opinion, this is the best Packer forum around. This is the best group of posters around. I don't want to compromise that. However, history has proven that some of us need to be reminded of proper forum conduct.

I expect that we will not see the following around here:

1) Blatant personal attacks on other members
