I need SF to lose somewhere in this. It's, of course, a necessity (F those pricks.) Additionally, the Chiefs are sickening. The Lions simply can't win this, as we'd never hear the end of it the way the Seahawks' former fans spoke about their greatness. So that leaves Baltimore. I won't mind if it's SF that they beat, in fact, I expect that. But having the Lions get that close and lose would be special for me.

Given their pedigree I would never pick against KC.  They just seem to have that “it” factor and with Mahomes they are never out of the game.  It would not surprise me one bit if they went into Baltimore and won that game.   It’s not like Lamar Jackson has been Mr. Clutch in the playoffs.  I’ll go KC 24 Baltimore 20.

I can’t stand the Meathead but I do like the Lions team as they are an easy team to root for.  I just worry about SF and since they got their wake up call against GB I think they will roll.  Goff just seems like a different QB when he’s not playing indoors and there’s no rain expected so I expect Purdy to play a lot better.   SF 27 Detroit 13

Well.....as long as the Niners hang onto the football and don't give extra chances to the Lions, I just don't see how the Lions can win.

TBH, the Niners should've lost last week. I think everyone knows that. The fact they didn't play their best and nearly got beat, has them laser focused on this game.

I see Goff throwing/fumbling 3 turnover worthy plays. If that happens and the Niners pounce on the ball, this game will be a laugher heading into the 4th quarter.

Niners up by 17 or 18 and the Lions might get a last minute TD to cut it to 10 or 11. Final score Niners 31 Lie-Downs 20.

The Lions O-Line is really good. I really like the Niners -6.5 if you can get it. It's been bouncing to -7 as well. Packers were +10 points dogs last week. The Lions are 3 points better??!?! Hahaha no they're not. I like the Niners big.

O/U now at 52! 🤯. (Lotta money came in on the OVER, it was 50.5) Depends on the Lion O-Line vs the Niners D-Line. If it goes over, that's counting on the Lions to score. Lions will go for it on 4th down and maybe even a surprise onsides kick to steal a possession. That's the only way it's going over. Put a gun to my head I pick the UNDER 52 but I don't like the bet at all.

Best bet Niners on the M/L and the Spread -6.5 or -7 (buy a 1/2 point if you have to 😁😜).

Ravens/KC.......

Ok you saw the battle for the NFC last week. I've always known, whoever won that game between SF/GB was going to the Super Bowl.

This week in the AFC, the battle for the conference continues....I picked KC but wanted Buffalo to win last week. Now....KC needs to run the gauntlet if they want another title. Beat Buffalo ✅, Beat Ravens....Beat SF to win the title. If they do that, they will have earned it just like I said Buffalo would. It would be shocking to see either team blowout the other.

Isaiah Pacheco is the key to this game. If KC runs the ball, it keeps the Raven offense off the field, going to be a long day for the home team if that happens. Same goes for the Ravens, keeping Mahomes off the field. This is going to be a tough physical game.

Current spread is +3.5 for KC. I like that a lot because I think this game will come down to a FG & the Ravens have the best kicker Justin Tucker although KCs kicker is no slouch either.

Mark Andrews is Lamars security blanket for the Ravens. Will be interesting to see how he does coming back from injury in week 11. He's their "Travis Kelce" (minus Taylor Swift 🤦‍♂️)

KC's defense has played well all season long....however if they don't "spy" Lamar he's going to kill KC with his legs. Texans did this exact thing in the first half and held them to a 10-10 tie heading into halftime.

This is where they can get Lamar off his game and maybe get him to throw an INT!

If neither team turns the ball over, this one is coming down to a FG either way so take the points (+3.5). Weather doesn't look like it will be a huge factor and I also like the OVER (44.5) in this one. 24-21 flip a coin for the winner.

Put a gun to my head I'll pick KC 🤷‍♂️ Close one!

Best of luck in your choices tomorrow. I'll be watching 🫡🙂

Do you all realize if SF wins, they will be facing the team that beat them, that last 2 times they've been there?? Kind of interesting.

Mahomes's 6th consecutive AFCCG.  He's never NOT been in the AFCCG since becoming the starter.  The dude isn't just supremely physically gifted as a QB, he's also as smart as any other.  You can see him toying with defenses on certain plays.

That said, BAL has a really good team this year and Lamar has been very good, probably MVP.  Their 3 losses have all been end of game, 1-score losses.  They could easily be undefeated.

Mahomes is so much better than the other QB's(except Love ) that the league decided to even the field by having him throw to MVS and Kadarius Toney instead of to Tyreek Hill.

These two games are loosely mirror images of each other.

SF and BAL are the dominant, complete teams that wound up at the 1 seed.

KC and DET have good enough players at enough positions to be competitive with them.  KC of course has the X factor in Mahomes.

Within the games you have mirror QB's.  Lamar this season is as close to Mahomes as you'll find.  Goff is better than Purdy but his limitations are similar.

That argument is easy to agree with.  BUT what if SF is starting to sputter or wear down mentally or lost their edge?  They lost their last truly meaningful game getting stomped by BAL, kind of sleep walked through WAS then rested their starters for almost 3 weeks before getting mostly handled by GB.

If they struggle vs DET at home you have to look squarely at Shannahan.  They're very healthy, maybe the healthiest they've ever been going into the playoffs.  The only thing that can sink them is not being focused.

That's sort of true.  The better your QB, the more you have to pay him.  The more you have to pay him, the less you can pay the rest of the team.  The guiding hand of parity.

Yup, the cap at work.

who ya gonna be Goff?

If Goff does it and beats the Niners, I tip my hat.

I think Purdy is better due to all the weapons plus Trent Williams.

Switch QB's putting Goff on the Niners and my prediction doesn't change.

I don't have faith that the KC defense will hold up well enough for an entire game to beat KC; they gave up chunks of yardage to Buff and Allen used his legs to great effect. OTOH, I do have faith that if the game is close, Mahomes will find a way to make the difference. If, and it's a big IF, KC's offense can sustain long drives, chew up clock, and get a lead going into the fourth, I think Lamar will break first with a turnover and KC wins, 21-17.

Meathead will have his team ready, but the SF defense is stronger than the Lions' offense. SF will shut down Goff/Meathead by not letting them figure out presnap coverages, just like they did to Love/MLF. I think Purdy may still struggle and they have to lean heavily on Deebo and CMC, and that's enough to beat the Lions, 24-20.

KC’s defense is really good. IMO they are the only team standing between Baltimore and a Super Bowl trophy.

I hope the Lions get a Superb Owl trophy so Minnesota is the last Central/North team with an empty case.

Please no.  Anyone saying that doesn’t live in Michigan.  It’s insufferable here.  Now, I don’t blame Lions fans.  I remember what it was like living in Wisconsin in the mid 90s when the Packers were erasing decades of futility. I wouldn’t have wanted to be a fan of another division team living there at the time.  But that’s what it’s like here now and I don’t have to like it.  If you think they don’t hate the Packers here as much as Vikings and Bears fans, you’re dead wrong - they were just better at hiding it while GB was pummeling them for years.  That’s all out the window lately.  Go niners (for one game only and then lose please).

I want the Lions to lose because I am imagining what Meathead will say and act like if they win. But really what I want is this script: Lions down by 7 with less than five minutes left, it's fourth-and-4 from their own 40, and he calls a weird trick play that backfires spectacularly. SF takes over at the Lions' 41; CMC goes to work for 4; CMC for 3; Deebo for 4. Dagger.

Coach Meathead would be asked about that trick play for the next eight months.

Living in Michigan is insufferable period, it has little to do with the Lions
