I can't get in either using Firefox

I hate to deprive everyone of my profound insight of the game's developments. x4 deserves better

I'm using Firefox and no problems. Maybe you need to download more RAM?

I even got so desperate that i tried Internet Explorer, still no dice

Same here, Fond. Never been a problem before.

We've been blacklisted, AZ. Can't think of any other possible explanation.

I do not know anything of this "Google Chrome" but I did move the Internet Explorer and Norton Antivirus icons to the trash and emptied it. Hopefully that should take care of all these problems. If not I will have to order a new monitor that has Netscape with unlimited bandwidth pre-installed... Hopefully Circuit City has some in stock.

i could never get into chat with Chrome last season, so I have firefox just for that purpose. I updated java, have the latest version of firefox, etc. Go into chat, get the blue guy icon spinning around like chat's loading, then...nothing.

I hope you guys all understand what's happening in the game without my commentaries

Same for me. Loads then hangs.

Try downloading the Yahoo and Ask.com toolbars the next time you have the chance. perhaps you can run a dual search on how to enter the chatroom.

I downloaded ask.com twice. Double the problem solving power. Still prefer askjeeves over anything yahoo.

disabled my internet security suite, entered chat, and it loaded. rebooted internet security, and everything's working good now

starting Friday I could not get in for Brewer chat; still that way today.

Updating flash & JAVA is first. 2nd is pop-up blockers or Internet Security Suites (firewalls, etc.) Make sure they're disabled.

Nobody else has any problem. It's something on your system if you're having trouble.

Works for me but nobody is home.

Didn't work last year, isn't working this year, regardless of browser or other settings. The javascript link opens what should be the chat room in a new tab, and I get the outline of a big window with a black background that should be the chat room area, but after a long wait, I get an "Unable to establish connection" message.

Might wanna think about updating.

The chat room works fine. If you have a problem it's your system not the chat room.

I should have been clearer: when I wrote that it doesn't work regardless of browser, I meant that I also tried FF and IE, and it didn't work in either of those.

(Not that I was expecting it to work, since it didn't work for me last year either.)

My guess is the Chat Room wants to talk football, not movies.

I swear, there is something that happens during flash updates that changes a setting that prevents connecting to some things. A couple of years ago, I used my laptop to chat, and, last year/this year...nada. I've never changed a setting of any kind for flash or java, but I'm able to log in from the desktop no problem.
I've tried in different browsers, too, and none make a difference.
I will have to try after disabling pop-ups/etc.

Security settings perhaps?
