Good points. They can't cover D. Adams and Jones has been effective running the ball. So let's bring in J. Williams, don't target Adams, and throw a ball that requires a guy with a broken thumb to make a great catch. That sets up a 3rd and long when the Vikings defense can actually tee off with no threat of the run.
Situational play calling was poor there.

Except Jones should have been in on second down.
Why would Cousins call timeout there? He could have lobbed the ball to the slot receiver for 5 yards. No one was within 10 yards of him.
