Bucks down 7 at the half.

Giannis started 1 for 7 from the field. He's now 9 for 18.

He's at 20 and 8 at the half.

Kawhi if 4 for 11. The Bucks are down because of a slow start on offense, they allowed Powell to go off, and Holiday has been atrocious.

Terrible start to the second half. Giannis misses a jumper. Holiday misses a shot. Allen misses an open 3. Clippers target Grayson Allen 3 times down the court for 7 points. Bucks down 14.

This gets back to the fact that Allen is unplayable against contenders because he is a target on defense.

Bucks got within 2 and now down 6. Middleton was heating up, but has now played 19:59 seconds and I would bet they have him capped at 20 minutes.

Giannis has 47 and is gassed.

Kawhi is going to play 40 minutes. Paul George 36.

Bucks are like - nope, Khris is good at 20. I get it's the long game, but frustrating.

They really miss Portis tonight.

Giannis at 52 and 15. Down 1.

Holiday, Middleton, Allen, Ingles, Carter, and Matthews are 12 for 40 from the floor.

Lopez has been played off the floor with a +/- of -32 in 23 minutes.

It's completely a 1 man show against a team with two future HOFers playing 40 minutes.

Bucks up 1 and the Clippers put Kawhi on Giannis. Forces him to pass out to a wide open Matthews who misses a 3. Paul George air balls a 3 and then Holiday with just a terrible turnover. Clips down 1 with the ball.

Holiday 4 for 15 with 3 turnovers.

And Middleton still sits at his 19:59 of playing time.

What a difference 24 hours makes

Giannis tweaks his knee at the end of a meaningless game and then comes back the following night and scores 50+ and beat a good Clippers team.

Kahwi has had a history of success against these guys and Matthews extracted some bit of revenge as well.

It wasn't just the final totals. It was even more amazing given how the game started.

With 1 minute left in the first quarter, Giannis was 1 for 7 from the floor, 0 for 2 from the line, 0 for 2 from three, and had a turnover. He was awful. The Bucks were down 24-11. He checked back in with about a minute left in the first.

Then, he played 31 of last 33 minutes and scored 52. He was 20 for 32 from the floor, 2 for 5 from deep, and 10 for 13 from the line.

Middleton was decent last night, but they refused to go over 20 minutes with him, so he sat the last half of the 4th quarter. No other Buck scored in the 4th after Middleton checked out. I think the others were 0 for 5 with 2 turnovers in the last 6 minutes of the game.

Holiday was 4 for 15. Lopez was played off the floor because they were getting killed in drop defense because of Powell (Lopez was -32 in 23 minutes). Connaughton played well and Middleton kept them afloat while Giannis got a couple of short breaks, but the rest of the team was 9 for 32 from the floor.

Matthews and Holiday played Kawhi and Paul George very well, but this was all Giannis on the offensive end against a very good defensive team. This was right up there with Game 6 of the Finals. Zubac got what Ayton got. It's one of those Giannis games where he just completely breaks the psyche of a good defensive player.

That was playoff basketball intense. Not something you usually see just before the All-Star break.

To be down 21 in the 3rd and come back and win with Portis and Khash money on the bench, Jrue providing defense and that's it......No words left to describe Giannis - WOW!

I hope Giannis gets the first pick for the All-Star game and selects Curry.
