You would think that they took an x-ray of his neck by now. Maybe, MM will fill us in later.

Watching that play live, it looked to me like Collins lifted his head and watched the end of the play while laying on the ground.
I hoped that meant he wasn't hurt too bad.

Now that is some good news. Looked like he just jarred his head in/jammed it. Hopefully a few days of rest is all he needs

A lot of fans are critical of Collins, but the best way to judge a guy is when he's not in there. Peprah is OK, but he's no Collins. Without Tramon and Nick in there our pass defense is pretty mediocre.
Tschmack, not being an ass but who's been critical of Collins? I think he gets his props.
Now I heard Collins will stay in hospital over night.

Lots of people in the past have ripped on Collins. Not so much lately, but he has had his share of critics because he's not the playmaker like Ed Reed or the hitter like Polamalu.
Sort of reminds me of Bubba Franks in a way. Steady dude that makes Pro Bowls.

I remember people screaming about what a pathetic reach he was in the second round after drafting a QB that wasn't going to play in the first round, and I remember his rookie year when people screamed about dropped INT's. I really don't remember anyone bagging on him in recent years, though.

Not trying to be argumentative, Tschmack, but our pass defense has been pretty mediocre even with those guys in there. But I understand your point; they sure don't get any better with them out of the lineup.
Nick has a history of playing with/through injuries, and it looks like this year will be no different. But I could see this injury keeping him out a week or 2 at a minimum.

I disagree. Collins is quite a playmaker. Much moreso than Bubba Franks ever was.
Collins wife just tweeted that Nick has left the hospital and is on his way back to GB
