Heritage Plaza downtown is a nice place for photos and a short walk from Titletown pub. The Heritage Trail is a nice walk if you need to stretch your legs, but non-essential. The 1919 Kitchen in the stadium was good the one time I ate there. Reasonably priced and near gastropub.

Get some of the local brews. Like most states, lots of great local beers. Get the Beer Advocate app to help guide you since they will be unfamiliar.

Enjoy the party around the stadium on game day, but hit the pro shop the day before. Better inventory and less crowd. See the Giant Lombardi Trophy. Save some room for game day food and go beyond brats and beer. My seats are next to a Food Network Pac and Cheese stand - brats with mac and cheese. Horsecollar the other way, but some actual cuisine too. Mixed drinks are widely available too. Be aware of the carry in rules, which are pretty tight now. If you don't drink, there is a designated driver program with prizes. Depending upon the weather, the rented seat cushions are a good idea, especially if you have an aisle seat.

If your seats are high up, walk down and get a view. Easiest to do in the end zones.  If low, go up and get the birds eye view.  I'm in row 14, but my sister is in row 59 and my brother is higher. I always visit them during the game and enjoy the view.

Take lots of photos with more than a phone. With a medium zoom, you can get some great shots during the game.

If drunks are bothering people, don't hestitate to get an usher involved. No reason to let a few jerks ruin the game for people. Some people can't handle  their drink and start harassing others.

Stadium tour is worth the time, since there is a lot of the stadium you won't see otherwise.  Haven't seen the new HOF, but I will get there eventually. If it wasn't 90 miles away and I was from out of state, that would be a priority.

Take Aaron's advice and R-E-L-A-X. Dally. Tarry. Dawdle. It's a vacation, right?

Yes, I miss Tooner's page. Plus he helped a bunch of us get tickets. He sits in section 103 I think, down in the first 10 rows. Stopped by and saw him once a  number of years ago.

Okay, I'll ask the question about the elephant in the room.  Maybe it's appropriate that I be the one to ask it, as I am now officially an old fart.  I retire in June and have had the first serious health problems of my life during the last year.

Does anyone even know if Tooner's still above ground?  I hope he is!

I wonder if there are any former popular posters who have gone belly-up?  And no, Sarge does NOT count!

Sarge is Ratpack's wife

We "think" Slayer might have gone to that Packer heaven in the sky.

Obviously, I2H. I believe St. Croix too

Those are the 3 that I'm fairly certain are gone.

Other possibilities are Chuck Cecil.

I'm trying to stay alive as long as possible to keep this forum going so you all have a place to annoy each other.

Don't think we're trying to turn this into the X4 death thread.

PSA for those attending the game tomorrow (from the GBPG):

Security beefed up for Packers-Lions game

The NFL calls for increased security at this week's games after deadly attacks in France.

The NFL is stepping up stadium security for its games this week, including the Sunday matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the rival Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field.

The heightened measures announced by the league and the Packers on Saturday afternoon come in the wake of the deadly terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday night, which included explosions outside a stadium during a soccer match between France and Germany.

The NFL said in a statement that it has been in communication with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the FBI since the attacks. The league said it was informed “that there are no known threats against NFL stadiums.”

Still, the league is taking extra precautions for the safety of its fans, game-day personnel and the competing teams the next two days with what it says “will be an increased security and law enforcement presence both inside and outside stadiums,” including the stadium parking lots.

The NFC North co-leading Packers (6-2) host the last-place Lions (1-7) at noon.

The game is among 12 on the NFL schedule for Sunday, followed by the Monday night game in Cincinnati between the host Bengals and Houston Texans.

Capt. John Balza confirmed Saturday that the Green Bay Police Department will have “an increased security presence” at Sunday’s game.

“As we will do with any game, we adjust our staffing,” Balza said.

He emphasized security is of high priority for the police detail at all Packers home games.

“Whenever we’re talking about Packers games, we’re always at a heightened state of alert because it’s a national venue,” Balza said. “So, we’ll continue to monitor the events and see if there’s any specific threats. To our knowledge, there’s no specific threats against the Packer game.”

According to the Packers website, police officers staff each entrance gate at Lambeau to ensure fans’ safety.

The NFL said its security procedures at stadiums have been certified by the Department of Homeland Security since 2008 “as effective anti-terrorism technology.” NFL teams use mandatory metal-detector screening and multiple layers of security outside the stadium “to safeguard fans and the stadium from explosive threats.”

The Packers advise ticket holders for Sunday’s game to allow extra time to enter the stadium and to enter at the gate printed on their tickets. The stadium gates open at 10 a.m.

The NFL is strongly recommending fans don’t bring bags to the stadium.

Any bag that is brought to Sunday’s game at Lambeau must be in compliance with the NFL’s clear-bag policy. The bag must be made of clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and not exceed dimensions of 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches.

What a weekend! Too bad it ended on such a disappointing note, but we had a great time nonetheless. I'm exhausted now, so I'll try to post more later or tomorrow. I got some nice pictures and will post them as well. Thanks for all the tips and suggestions - not enough time to do it all, but we got a lot done in a short weekend

Since we went through EventsUSA for the ticket package, we got to go to their tailgate party. They had Santana Dotson, William Henderson, Gilbert Brown, and Antonio Freeman (not pictured here). I wasn't about to pay $25 each for their autographs, so when the line let up a bit I went up and asked Henderson how it felt to pancake Ray Lewis. His eyes got big and a huge smile came across his face. He reached out to shake my hand and replied, "I did it more than once...it felt good, real good". One of the best moments of my weekend!
